Review: Vespar, an assassin for hire, takes on a job. He has struggled with his urge to kill. But upon meeting his target the feeling lessens. As he gets to know Marcolm he becomes infatuated with him to the point he cannot do what he was hired for.

I really enjoyed this story. Vespar was intent and serious. I loved how well equipped he was in dealing with certain things that come up throughout the story. Marc was a little too trusting considering people were out to kill him. I felt considering who his dad was he would have been a bit more cautious.

I loved the quick escapes and thinking Vespar did when confronted with danger. The main thing that threw me was the end. I did not understand how one could make the past different from what happened. Wouldn’t that mean that Marc and Vespar’s lives would have been different than what they were?

Other than that I loved everything else. The romance, tension, adventure and mystery were awesome. This is a great read.

Blurb: Former US Marine John Ving hates everything about holiday displays: they’re tacky, they waste energy, and they’re an eyesore. So what does his new neighbor do? He sets up the holiday spectacle from hell, and he doesn’t seem to care which holiday—he has a menorah, a baby Jesus, a Santa, and everything in between. Not to mention it’s swathed in enough lights his house is probably visible from space.

High-school teacher Kaden loves the holidays, and huge light displays on his lawn make his heart glow. He’d love to share some cheer—and maybe some kinky fun—with his smoking hot neighbor John. Odd things start to happen to his displays and just as he begins to think life is going his way, with the holidays and with John, a Grinch destroys everything.

It’s gonna take the display-hating John to set things right—and what he has planned might blow Kaden’s mind.

Review: Twelve days of Christmas and my true love gave to me, well you will just have to read this book to get that naughty idea.  John hates anything holiday but he loves family.  Then he meets his sexy neighbor who just so happens to love Christmas.

I was definitely not ready for this one, but damn it was cute.  I especially liked the kids and well you will see.  You cannot really go into detail about these stories without giving them away.  I got a kick out of it and definitely would read it next Christmas.

It is a very quirky and fun story.

Review: This is the 3rd book of the series, and I will admit once I read the blurb, and the chapters posted at the end of the last book, I had my doubts if I was going to read it to not. It seemed so much like the previous one.  I was wrong and was glad I read it. It turns out Becoming Rafe is my favorite of this series.

Yes, it still is the same theme. A young Mormon man is coming to Falcon Pointe to find himself and experience being gay. Nephi (Rafe) Norton is a distant cousin to Bastien from book three.

The similarities end there. Rafe’s family doesn’t pressure him to go to church, or his he pressured by the Mormons in any way. This book is about his inner struggle of wanting to know what gay is and if he truly is. Rafe knows he likes men instead of women, but isn’t sure it’s worth giving up his family. He wants to have a relationship, hold hands with his true love, get married, and have his own family.

He meets his roommate Finn, and soon Finn has a boyfriend as well in Santi.  There is some of their story in here as well.

Rafe does his makeover and goes out with Finn and Santi where he finds himself in a back room with a stranger. Luckily he is saved by a sexy man with a Scottish brogue and his friends.  Levlin and Rafe become close friends.

This was the second thing I liked so much. The slow build up of friends to more with Levlin and Rafe. Levlin was so good in supporting Rafe, not pressing him for sex when he knew that even though he was gay that he wanted to save himself.

All in all, Becoming Rafe is about finding oneself, coming out, inner struggles, friendships, college life, and a beautiful friends to lovers romance.

If you are going to read only one of this series, I suggest this one (though it helps to know the other characters by reading the others.)

Review: Sebastien has taken a significant step. Even bigger than going far from home to college, but wanting to be completely himself. He isn’t ready to come out to his family, but he figured if he lived so far way that perhaps he could keep that secret for a while longer. He heard about a peer of his that had come to Falcon Pointe, come out and found love. He is hoping Trent can, at least, be a friend to help him along the way.

He likes the men at 959 Benton Street and is happy to get a room there. He likes one of the roommates but isn’t sure he would be interested in an inexperienced young man besides he is sure David is the one straight one at the house.

I love the diversity of these characters. I especially liked David’s difference and how it was handled in the story. When I began reading I felt the story was very similar to the first, and then once we got established, it changed up a lot. There are some Amish issues, family issues, but this one is more character driven with life issues. I also thought this one had a little less angst and, of course, it’s a beautifully written sweet romance.

If you like the Amish, unique characters, coming out, gay weddings, discipline lifestyles, cute puppies and, of course, don’t forget some hot man-sex, I think you will really like this series.

I do suggest you read them in order, so you know who all these characters are.

Blurb: Trent Farnsworth moves to Falcon Pointe to get as far away from his controlling family and religion as he can. Review: Full of drama suspense and fantastic characters,959 Brenton Street pulls you and doesn’t let you go. I began reading and read until my kindle died on me in one evening, leaving me near the end and worried about Trent.

This is also an unusual story dealing with the Mormon religion and being gay. Trent wants to be himself. A gay Mormon but finds out he can’t have both. He has to struggle with his sexuality, his attraction for his hot, much older landlord and his religious beliefs. He doesn’t understand why he can’t be a good boy and still be true to his sexuality. He is in fact, a good man. And Cory sees this.

Cory is another great character. A Dr and he had been hurt before. He doesn’t go out looking for sex or take every man that throws himself at him. Cory also runs his house with a strong hand and a thick paddle. Yes, he has a house run with discipline and he also helps each of the roommates through any struggles or needs they may have.

As you see there is a lot going on in the book. A very strong storyline about the Mormon faith. I learned a lot I had no idea about. You could tell Thianna did some major research here. There is also the comradery of the roommates and how different each man is and how they fit in, Trent’s, struggling with school, and also the budding romance.  The story is so realistic, down to earth, intriguing, and sexy you really have to put this on your TBR.

If you like story’s about gay men dealing with religious issues, coming out, college men, unusual characters, a great series, some hot man-sex and a happy for now this is for you!

Review: This story is both happy and sad. I will say it brought tears to my eyes both happy and sad. I felt Thane’s pain and heartache.
It’s such a short story I can’t say much about it except how much I liked it. There is a lot of angst but there is brightness in it as well.

If you like a very short story full of angst but with a happy ending and a sweet holiday read this is definitely for you!

Blurb: Drakyl Ranch is a multi-book series which is meant to be read in order.

Living in Montana and working the ranch is all Aaron wants to do for the rest of his life. Diagnosed as allergic to the sun thirteen years previous, every day is a struggle to get out of bed. Having to wear long-sleeved shirts, gloves, and even material to cover his face from the effects of the sun, just makes it all worse.

Now, in his thirty-second year, he is sure this will be his last summer. While he hates it, he knows he needs to come to terms with the truth and put things in order for his younger cousins. Before he does so, he heads out for one night of pleasure before facing what’s coming.

Jaret loves excitement and new adventures. For over five hundred years, he has sought them out. In Montana on a whim, he comes across someone he doesn’t expect, someone who makes him feel things he does not understand and does not want to give up. In no time at all, he feels like he cannot live without Aaron.

The only problem is Aaron doesn’t know who he is, what he is, nor that he isn’t going to die. Not on Jaret’s watch. With a plan to help the other man discover who he is in place, he only has one thing to worry about: whether an ancient enemy will come and destroy everything he now holds dear.

Warning: This book is a paranormal m/m romance with some horror elements. It also crosses cowboy and vampire genres. If you don’t think cowboys look hot with fangs, you’re missing out.

Review: Jaret is on the run from some evil Vampyre and lonely for more than a hookup. Aaron has a sun sickness and thinks he is dying, and worries about his young cousins since his Uncle that is raising them is in his 80’s and also dying. These two men meeting is life-changing for them both.

What could be better than vampires? Vampires and cowboys! Discovery is a very intriguing concept. I will warn you there are smelly rotting vampires not sparkly ones, and there is killing both humans and animals for food though it is done as humanely as possible.

Discovery is the set up for the new series, so we meet several characters. There is a bit of history of these Vampyre and Drakyl. There is friendship building and a lot of love and hot man-sex. My only issue was the younger men took this change and finding out what both Aaron their cousin and Jaret is much too calmly. There were no real questions, fear or conflict.

But the story was quite good. It was a fun, entertaining read, and I am ready for more!

If you like vampires, cowboys, mates and some hot man-sex, this is for you!

Jack Carmichael’s natural instinct is to take care of people. In his job as a U.S. Marshal, he has done that for 25 years. Unfortunately, being married to his job has left his love life in tatters. Now classified unfit for duty, he retires and comes home to Colorado to figure things out. Dominant and used to taking control like his brother Brent, he has never been interested in spanking. Until a cute Nurse Practitioner catches his attention.

Josh Martin feels lucky. He’s not only accepted into Corbin’s Bend, but he’ll be working at the brand new Corbin’s Bend Medical Clinic as its only Nurse Practitioner. At thirty-two, he figures this is his last-ditch attempt at finding a dominant partner who isn’t abusive. He finds more than his share of dominant men in Corbin’s Bend, not the least of which are the Carmichael brothers. Brent’s dominance is both comforting and unnerving, Jack’s turns him on.

Josh is unlike any submissive male Jack has encountered and when the younger man asks him out, he decides to give it a go. One day of fun turns into two, three…until Jack, with more failed relationships than he can count in his past and unsure he can be the head of house Josh needs, leaves, burying himself once again in work. Forced to see the error of his decision, he puts aside the worries that have plagued him for months and returns to Corbin’s Bend. To become the good family man he wants to be, he has to earn back Josh’s trust and truly take on a role he’s never considered before: head of a loving discipline household.
