Blurb: Jiri’s life has been one misery after the next. A cobra shifter, he’s held captive by a collector who keeps him—and other shifters—in a private harem-style “zoo” in the Libyan Desert. Considered a dangerous predator by the other shifters, and little more than a boy toy to the collector, Jiri is friendless, timid, and despondent.

Miksa is the collector’s latest find. But honey badgers are known for their bad attitude, fearlessness, and fighting spirit. Miksa has no doubt he’ll escape, even if it means taking the whole zoo down with him.

When honey badger and cobra meet, there should be instant enmity—after all, honey badgers eat cobras—yet both men find themselves oddly drawn to the other. Romance blossoms, but can it survive captivity and beyond? In order to do so, Jiri will have to find a strength he doesn’t know he possesses and Miksa will have to open a heart long closed to anyone except his immediate family.

Review: Jiri had been sold to a collector when he was just a child so he didn’t act like a cobra at all. He was there for dancing and sex. The collector has brought in a new find, and to Jiri’s surprise it is a honey badger. Honey badgers and snakes do not get along, but these two just about make you feel like you are over heated.

This was a bit strange to me and I wasn’t really sure if I liked it or not. I felt bad for Jiri though. I was glad that Miksa turned out to be a great catch for Jiri. I had fun reading this and look forward to seeing what other stories this author has out.

I would definitely recommend this story.

Review: Now I am not sure about shark shifters, after having watched Jaws so many times, well you can guess where I am going with that. However it is a big kick to find a story that makes it look like fun.

Jarrett had left his cheating boyfriend and went to Hawaii to enjoy some freedom. He also wanted guidance and to figure out what he was going to do in the future. To his surprise it would seem he has found that guidance in more than one way. Kainalu might just be the one, even if he is a sexy shark shifter.

This was a fun little story that had quite a bit of humor in it. I am not really sure if I would read more shark shifter stories, but this one was pretty damn good.

I had a lot of fun reading it and would recommend it.

Review: I really never thought about cow shifters or that they would be sacred I suppose. I think in all of my readings I have only came across one other story that had a cow shifter, or bull shifter. They are kind of quirky and definitely this author has made a unique hit with it.

Duncan and his two best friends have decided to travel India. They are going to Jaisalmer, which is a fort in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan. It would seem that Duncan has caught the eye of a bull shifter. Akash is a well-known young man who has his eyes on Duncan. However it would seem that someone else has noticed the two together.

This one was pretty good. I liked the unique telling of this story. Although I hate to say that it was not really my kind of story though. I did have fun reading it though, and would recommend it.

The Wrong Way by Taylor Law,Excerpt and Review

Wrong-Way-for-Amazon

The Wrong Way by Taylor Law

George Washington National Forest

THE BANG OF A GUNSHOT rang out, a loud interruption ricocheting through the soft musical

echoes of the forest. The flapping of wings followed, vibrating the air overhead with the caws of

a multitude of retreating birds before finally silence reigned. The hunter lowered the weapon and

let out the breath he’d held while taking the shot. He took in another lungful of frosty air through

his nose, closing his eyes as satisfaction filled him. Finally, some action.

He grinned and gave the adrenaline its head for a moment, reveling in the sensation as it

heated his blood, and then he moved. Flipping the rifle over his back, he scrambled down from

the God-forsaken tree stand and squirmed out of the safety harness. He’d been in the damn thing

for hours and was stiff as hell.

He really preferred guided hunts, but a few friends had thought good, old-fashioned buck

hunting in the Virginia woods would be something different for him and had snatched him up for

the weekend. All day Saturday, and all of Sunday, sitting fourteen feet up in a tree and for what?

His muscles had drawn up tight. His fingers and toes had gone numb, and he had not one antler

to show for his trouble.

Now he remembered why he’d stopped doing this.

As quietly as possible, he adjusted his weapon of choice. The rifle was his pride and joy,

way more firepower than he needed to shoot a buck in this region, but it was his go-to weapon,

and he’d figured that at least nothing would get away. If he hit the bugger, it would be a kill

shot—just as it should be. Nothing satisfied him as much as knowing that when he pulled the

trigger, the prey would be dead before they even hit the ground.

As the hunter waded through the dew-covered underbrush, the smell of dirt and plants filled

his nose. He breathed deep of the scent, the nip of the chilled air awaking his senses like nothing

else could. He pulled down his night-vision goggles from the top of his head and leveled them

over his eyes. Darkness had swallowed the woods, and with the new moon, it was going to be

black as pitch out soon.

He’d been just about ready to call the weekend a bust when he’d heard movement about fifty

yards from his station. While searching the direction with the scope, he’d seen something that

had confounded him. It looked like a dog but was almost the size of a small pony. It had to be a

wolf. He’d heard of coyotes in Virginia, but there hadn’t been reports of wolves for a hundred

years or more. Didn’t matter. He wasn’t leaving without a kill if he could help it, so he’d shot the

beast. Now, time had come to claim his prize.

Pulling his rifle level to his shoulder, he inched toward the rustling noise he heard, the

random branch smacking his limbs as he walked. When he stepped through the brush and into a

clearing, he saw the animal lying on its side, wiggling as it tried to stand. He’d hit it all right, in

the shoulder mere millimeters from the clean kill shot it should have been. He closed his eyes,

shook his head, and heaved a hard sigh as disappointment enveloped him. He was better than

that. The animal panted, its chest rising and falling quickly as it forced out short, shallow bursts

of air. The hunter removed the night-vision goggles, took aim, and moved closer until he was

looking down the weapon at the animal’s head, directing his next shot for the skull.

Only before he could pull the trigger, the wolf started to change.

Right before his eyes, the muzzle shrank, and fur started to rescind along the body— getting

shorter and thinner until it was completely gone. The hair rose on the back of his neck, and he

flinched as snapping and popping sounds emanated from the creature. The limbs elongated,

getting thicker, the shoulders wider.

He took a step backwards. His heart gave a kick and sped up as he tried to understand what

had happened. The rifle became heavy in his hands, so he lowered it while gawking at the thing

in front of him. “The. Fuck?”

Within a few moments, a naked man lay at his feet, and the wolf had vanished.

He swiftly raised his weapon again, taking aim. He didn’t know what the hell was

happening, but he damn sure wasn’t going to let that… whatever it was, attack him. The thing

moved to its side and clutched its bleeding shoulder. It didn’t seem as if it was going anywhere,

but he refused to take any chances. The gunshot wound still seeped blood through the thing’s

fingers, but it now looked much smaller than it should.

“Please…”The man’s wide amber eyes met his, filled with moisture and fear. “Please, don’t

hurt me.”

“What the hell are you?” the hunter whispered. No way was that thing in front of him

human.

“I’m a man.” It groaned and coughed a wet sound.

Right.

“No way. Tell me what you are!” He prepared to fire. Was this an alien invasion? Or were

all the tales about werewolves true? And if werewolves truly existed, what other creatures could

be out there right now? Without his consent, the hunter’s eyes quickly scanned the woods before

darting back to the sight before him.

“Please…”

“Are you a werewolf?” He lifted his booted foot and roughly shoved the underbelly of the

creature, turning it over onto its back. Damn, it really did look human. He would never have

known there was anything different about this fellow had he not watched the change himself.

“Are. You. A werewolf?”

“No.” The creature gasped. “Shifter. I… mmm… shifter.”

Holy crap! He’d heard of that before. Basically, the same thing as a werewolf, at least in his

mind. The thing wasn’t human, after all. In fact, it would be a service to humanity if he got rid of

  1. His heart kicked again but this time from excitement. A flush of warmth suffused his body,

chasing away the cold.

Out of all the animals he’d killed all over the world, he’d never shot himself a shifter. Shit,

he’d never even known such a thing really existed until now.

And just in time.

His life had become stagnant, boring. The satisfaction from the hunt and a clean kill didn’t

carry the power it once had. Not since his father had died. There was nothing new out there for

him. Nothing, except this.

Hunting was in his blood. His life consisted of his work—where he intended to change the

world— and his greatest pleasure, hunting. He was lucky enough to own his own pharmaceutical

company and lab so he had the ability to travel the globe, searching for the cure and his next big

kill. Alaska, Africa, India, South America, all over the U.S., you name it and he’d been there.

First, deer hunting, but that got old quickly. He’d moved up to moose… and on and on. He’d just

come back from his fifth African safari with a nice set of elephant tusks. Paid a pretty penny for

that shindig, too.

What was a little payoff money when it came to excitement? They were only animals

anyway.

When his friends talked him into this weekend, he’d wanted to say no. They’d guilted him

into it, though. Then those same friends had gone home earlier today, leaving him alone. They

were a bunch of weak pretenders who couldn’t stand the cold, and couldn’t stay still for ten

minutes without playing with cell phones. It was disgusting, really.

Everything had turned out better than he could have hoped for, though. He was the one

getting the special kill because of their folly.

This made his year. Heck, this was the happiest moment he could remember. No one he

knew had bagged a shifter before. He was the first—the greatest big game hunter in the world.

His father would have been so proud.

“Please…” The creature tried to sit up but fell back again.

“Don’t worry.” The hunter smirked. “I’ll make this quick.”

Review: For those of you that follow my reviews, you will know that Romantic Suspense is my favorite genre. And it doesn’t matter if it’s Contemporary, Paranormal or Sci-fi, I need to believe in the characters and be able to follow the plot. It doesn’t matter how hot the sex scenes are, if the characters are one-dimensional or the plot convoluted.

That being said…I LOVED THIS BOOK!!

Taylor Law has created a world that made me laugh, bite my lip and most importantly, BELIEVE.

The way the two main characters meet is priceless. Thomas is in the middle of a murder investigation, has issues with the Elders’ Council and if that is not enough, he must officiate a mating ceremony.

Enter a cute little red-headed human.  His mate. He sooooo does not have time for this.

The romance between Camdon and Thomas is a nice slow burn. This is a huge plus for me.  I hate characters that hop into bed willy nilly…Mate pull or not, I expect grown-ups to think before they leap. And yeah, I loved watching Thomas fight the mate-pull, while trying to fulfill his Alpha duties. This made for an intense sexual tension that neared to explode off the page.

I also love the Camdon is not a weak little human.  His skills as a tracker help advance the investigation on several levels

The suspense unfolds in a realistic fashion that kept me reading well into the night. Several chapters are written from the killer’s POV.  This is one of my favorite aspects of The Wrong Way.  I love a bad guy who is more than just a bad guy. Loved learning his rationalizations for his sick behavior.

Now for my complaints. I wish that the secondary thread surrounding a secondary character had a more satisfying ending.  While I appreciate Taylor leaving the door open for a future title in this series, I would like Thomas to have some sense of closure.

There is also the matter of Camdon’s backstory.  Still a little sketchy on that one.

And the ending is by no means a traditional cliffhanger, but its damn close. The possibilities for the next Shenandoah Pack title are endless. Taylor introduced several secondary characters that could move easily into the main plot. My vote is for Justice…maybe. 😉

Review: This book is a combination of three different stories involving Nick and John. It tells of their meeting and how they fell in love. It also talks about the gift of seeing spirits and helping them go on their way.

You will also get to see Josh and find out a bit about him.

I wasn’t sure about it at first, but my attention was caught. It has a serious tone to it but there is some humor to it that makes it a better read for me.

6520256Laying a Ghost ♥♥♥♥♥5 Hearts

When John McIntyre sees Nick Kelley step off the island ferry, he’s instantly attracted, and fairly certain that he knows what Nick is keeping secret, because he’s been doing it himself for years. When he discovers Nick’s real secret he’s drawn into a world he never knew existed, one haunted by grief and guilt and ghosts. In the shadowed world of the spirits, Nick’s power is all that the ghosts have to help them. But Nick is still mourning the death of his lover in an accident he believes he caused, and John’s determined to keep their relationship secret.

It’s going to take a lot more than attraction and really good sex to solve their problems but will they be lucky? Or will one week be all they have before they’re left alone again?

John has always hidden what he truly was from his family. They lived in a small town that was not as progressive as they should be. Only his best friends new that he was gay. So things changed when Nick shows up.

Nick came to Scotland after his family passed. His uncle, who he had never met, left his mother the home in Scotland. After his partner’s death, he had to get away. You see he has one big secret, he sees ghosts.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading this. The title is a bit strange so I was a bit leery of taking it on. However once I started I couldn’t put the story down. It was fascinating and a bit freaky. Poor Nick not only sees them but hears them, so he must help them to go forward. This story was fun to read and I can’t wait to get started on the next book. However I must say that I would love to smack the shit out of his mother.

6520312Giving Up the Ghost ♥♥♥♥♥5 Hearts

Most of the people in Florida are soaking up the sun. Nick and John are dealing with a plane crash, a gold-digger, a reporter with an eye on more than a good story, and some startling revelations about Nick’s family.

And that’s before the ghosts from the crash get angry with Nick, the one person who can hear them.

They’re struggling with their relationship when the trip begins — sex works, sex works well; it’s the other stuff that’s a problem. Getting away seemed like a good way to work things out. But this is one getaway that might leave John and Nick wishing they’d stayed at home.

Or it might be just what they needed to find out that home is where the heart is.

I do have to say that the titles are just bizarre but the stories are pretty cool. In this one John feels Nick is bored, but the truth is something else is going on. Nick has been having dreams and can’t figure them out. That is until he gets a phone call about a father he hadn’t seen in many years.

They end up in Florida dealing with his father’s crazy ass girlfriend, who is nothing more than a gold digging hussy. Also a reporter who recognizes him and many ghost. Then he finds out that he has a little brother. It would seem his little brother has a gift of his own, but it isn’t seeing ghosts.

This one was just as much fun as the first one, although these two really need to work on their communication. I almost gave up on John in the beginning but he redeemed himself really fast. I had a lot of fun with this and can’t wait to get started on the next story.

6520355Walking the Dead ♥♥♥♥♥5 Hearts

When your lover can speak to ghosts and his half-brother can read minds, you get used to life being a step away from normal. But when angry ghosts take over the bodies of the living, seeking revenge for their centuries-old murders, even John and Nick have trouble coping.

Teenaged angst, pushy tourists, and the dead walking… If they want the peaceful summer they’d planned, they’re going to have to fight for it.

Side by side.

Nick’s brother Josh is now nineteen and coming for a visit. John’s niece is having difficulties with her mother and invites Josh to a camp fire down by the ocean. Ghost stories are told. There are rumors of two men being killed in the caves. So they decide to see what the cave looks like. But two teenagers inadvertently free their spirits. The men were angry at being killed. They say they were innocent but plan revenge.

Even John and Nick are having trouble trying to help these two men find peace. On the flip side the guys are doing amazing together and their love is stronger than ever. Dealing with mean spirits and two teenagers is just about as fun as the day is young.

I loved this story and can’t wait to see what else this amazing author has out. I think if I had Nick and Josh’s gifts I would go nuts. Although Josh’s does sound a bit more fun.

Overall

This was one amazing book. I wasn’t sure if I would like it because of the ghost but it was told with such a flare that I enjoyed the whole thing. It has a lot of different feelings going on that my attention definitely didn’t waiver a bit from this book. I even gave up dinner to finish it, it was that entertaining.

I would definitely recommend this book.

Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order.

After the events in Dead End Duncan has his protective instincts flaring to life as he comes to terms with Robbie’s shocking return to human, Duncan’s worried sick that he will lose Robbie again if Robbie helps him with his investigations. When Duncan accepts a new case involving a young man, Graig, and werewolves he has to trust Robbie knows what he is really doing and set aside his own fears.

This is another fantastic addition to the Duncan Andrews Thriller series where we see Duncan dealing with his fears and accepting that he can’t control everything. The opening scene sets the tone for what we can expect from the werewolves, there’s no sweet little wolfies in this story, instead we have vicious uncaring monsters who will do anything to get their own way.

Duncan and the gang, Robbie, Gina, Nick and Daisy, with the addition of Elton (the demon) and Dave Carson (Duncan’s police Lieutenant friend) face a foe far more dangerous than any they have faced before, a werewolf pack aided by a vindictive witch. A witch Gina knows. It’s the biggest battle that they have faced and… well I’m not gonna say what happens but let’s just say one thing that did happen made my lip quiver and I made a wookie cry face.

Ah the joy of being pulled into a contemporary paranormal story where you never know what you could face next. After the events in the previous stories (so yes reading them all is a must) you’d have thought that you had already seen everything but the investigations just keep coming and where an investigation leads danger surely follows… especially for Duncan and the guys.

This series is fresh and exciting, and Under A Blood-red Moon is no exception. I was drawn in by the story and enjoyed every, well nearly every, minute of it. Not only did we get to see Duncan and Robbie making up for lost time but we also get an exciting investigation and danger and action…. There’s a massive battle with every one of Duncan’s friends throwing their lot in and it’s messy, bloody and hell they’re lucky they have Gina on their side!

I recommend this to those who love a bit of paranormal in their thrillers, who adore love stories that are nearly impossible to believe, who love danger and the thrill of never knowing how things will turn out, and an ending that makes you want the next book now!

Turns out that there is a lot more to this thing! It’s big. Jean-Claude and Jaime are meeting me here before we all head over to see Tortego at his offices. We should be there in a half hour and we figure this meeting will run most of the day. If you can join us fine but if not I’ll tell you about it later after your shift is over. Call me.”

Review: This is the first book by this author that I have read, but had heard some amazing things about his books. I should have started with book one, but am grateful that I did not because I don’t care for females in my stories at all so when I found out about Jamie I didn’t much care to read it. Although she is a real fire cracker so I might be changing my mind.

I must admit the idea of vampire mysteries were a bit alluring. There are so many twists and turns to this story that I was definitely kept my attention, although the story jumped around so much that it ended up giving me a headache. I am afraid that all the added information and detail did the exact opposite of what it should have in my opinion. I kept trying to figure out how to skim over most of the story just to get to the good parts. There were so many characters that it just confused me even more.

Vinnie is at the station when his husband and friends decided to go find out who was behind Jean-Claude’s framing. They had saved his ass from death, when Vinnie proved he was not behind it. If he had been a few minutes earlier he would have been killed from the explosion that was set to kill them all. Now hidden they try to find out who was trying to kill them and who wanted to cause so much pain.

Now this was a pretty damn good book, but because of the added details and multiple characters it went down in ratings for me. It just seemed to jump from one scene to the next, from one dialog to another and ended up making me want to throw the book down and walk away. It had great potential, but in my eyes the author just went overboard with all the extras.

After reading this story it didn’t make me want to go read the first five stories I am afraid.

Review: Finn Darcy, panther shifter returns to his family home after a death in the family. His reluctant mate Luke Devlin, who he marked when they were younger, has been staying at the family home. With the hope that Luke’s anger at him has passed he attempts to get close to Luke to no avail. Meanwhile there is disturbing news of werecats and their mates disappearing.

Luke seriously pissed me off. If he hated Finn so much then why did he keep going around him? Why did he have sex with him? Seemed so unbelievable that someone who hated someone that much would have a change of heart suddenly.

I have to say I didn’t like this story. It was not a smooth read even though there were no errors in it. I felt that the majority of the book was about Luke still hating Finn for what he did. As a result I felt irritated at the halfway mark wishing it would end. The mystery of the werecats disappearance was mentioned, but did not come in to play until almost the end of the book  and then it was rushed.

I did not like this book, but gave it a three for the work put into it.

Review: Templeton finds himself with his hands more than full this full moon with is a lover, the leader of the Eerie pack, a mysterious house guest with big secrets, his parents, planning a garden party, and murders popping up on the property.

If you have read any of the first books in this series, you know that Templeton is a skunk shifter and mated to the alpha of the Lake Eerie pack. If not you know now!   This is a very fun series to read, so it is good to start at An Eerie Halloween, but I feel you can follow along just fine without it. But they are short, and lots of fun so why not read them all!

I love all the characters in this book. I love how Rugby is always scaring Templeton by sneaking up on him. It made me laugh every time Templeton would jump! The mystery is like a little paranormal cozy…mysterious with lots of twists set in a paranormal setting with a touch of humor.

There is a lot of sex, but it’s well-written and not overly explicit. There are lots of twists, and the story is fast paced with lots of humor.

I highly recommend it!

Review: Each book in the Blood Moon Pack Alliance Series collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

For me once I start reading I can’t move until I find out how they end. These characters are also very fascinating and unique to me. To top it off it aren’t just two sexy men but three in this mating.

Asher’s life is about to get more complicated. He goes to talk to the coven and ends up bringing home Jake to live with shifters. On the way he finds this vampire that not only captures his attention but he senses danger there also. Kimi is a traitor to the coven and to the pack, or that is what everyone assumes.

Kimi runs and Asher goes to find him. Taking with him his newly adopted teenage son. To his surprise he finds a human and saves his ass from kidnappers, only to find out that the man is his mate. Then to make matters even crazier it would seem Kimi is their mate also. Kimi has a major secret that could get them all killed but his mates are determined to help him in all ways.

Now I must admit that I wasn’t too sure about Kimi. He had a darkness to him that made him seem even guiltier then normal added to the fact that he even made Jake weary and I thought for sure he was evil. Then once you get to know him, you can see that he is the perfect mate for the others. I wasn’t really sure about this story because of the dark tone, but that only lasted a total of five seconds.

I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Review: E-book review from December 2012…

Openly gay assassin Mateo Esposito has the perfect life. He kills people for a living and doesn’t even think twice as he pulls the trigger. His targets are murderers, rapists and pedophiles; so the fact that he doesn’t lose any sleep over them is no surprise. Until he stumbles upon Riley Flynn.

Riley Flynn is the CEO of Flynn Electronics. Not so openly gay, Riley stays safely behind the doors of his closet. After his mother died when he was a teenager, Riley was raised by his homophobic father. Riley is also Mateo’s next target.

Character development was precise as we watch Mateo go from predator to protector. The relationship that develops between the pair is amazing, even as they fight it, and then give in to it, only to come across yet another road block. Gasq-Dion definitely laid the ground work for many more books and promising storylines with the side characters as well. My personal favorite would be General “fuck it” Derek and Pruitt, I do so hope they get much more page time in the coming books.

This is an M/M erotic love story that is sensual and steamy! It is also fast paced and action packed with several twists and turns to keep you guessing.

Audio book review April 2016…

It’s always a joy when a favorite narrator breathes life into one of your favorite books. Boudreaux truly brings Mateo and Riley to life with tone, inflection and sometimes not so subtle nuances. I especially liked the desperation I could hear in his voice during a more dramatic part in the story.

I’ve probably read this book a dozen times or more so I knew full well how these two met, fell in love, were torn apart and the dangerous road travelled to bring them back together. Listening to the events unfold gave me a new insight into the story. You can read a book and imagine how something sounds or feels, Boudreaux was able to bring those sounds and feelings out for the characters with the voices he gave them.

I highly recommend this series to anyone that reads the genre. Whether you like shifters, paranormal, romance, passion, angst, you can find just about anything in this series. And now we have the promise of hearing the escapades and sexcapades of this Motley crew of men that make up the Skull Blasters and Shifters.

Very exciting!

Review: Each book in the Capulet collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I have found through reading this series that Cree has a true gift at giving you a story that not only draws you in but keeps you there. The world she has created for these guys and their families is an amazing one. I have also come to the conclusion that I will probably go broke after buying all her books. To top it off they have a sense of humor that will keep you entertained.

Damn these guys need to learn to communicate and actually listen to each other. Javan loves his little mate, but he also knows of the pain that Henry had gone through with his old pack. He had decided to not claim his mate, but to let his mate claim him.

Too bad that all Henry heard was not going to claim, because he takes off and runs in to Lika and then Terrin. Terrin is a Baliz which is a deadly creature out to kill them all. Except Terrin is not that way, he is such a cutie pie. However it means he has to go home to his mate, the same mate that doesn’t want him.

Javan knows that he needs to show Henry that he is indeed wanted. As soon as he figures out Onyx. It seems Javan and Henry have a very sexy mate to share. Wow a threesome is hot. So Henry’s eyes are wide open when he comes home. Too bad they still have to figure out how to take Lorkin and the other Baliz out before they all get killed.

There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved.

I also love the way the guys are not only unique but they have a tenderness inside of them that just shines through. Cree has become, and just from the two books I have read one of my top favorite authors. I had so much fun reading this and look forward to reading the next book.

I would definitely recommend it.

Review: I loved, loved, and loved this book. Jag is a jaguar shifter who while on a mission with his husband and spotter Mark experiences a pain unlike any other when the target they are after kills Mark before his eyes. Now he’s been partnered with Sonar, an ocelot shifter.

Jag is furious as he works alone since what happened. But Sonar is just as stubborn as Jag and insists that he can do his job.

This is a very good book with a lot of tension, suspense, action and mystery as to who The Sandman is. What results is a man on a mission of revenge to make the one responsible pay for his crimes with his life. The Sandman is a vicious killer with a disturbing MO.

Though who he is was a bombshell that I never saw coming.

In the process Jag and Sonar grow ever closer as the story progresses. I really liked the differences yet similarities between these two characters. I got a kick out of how Sonar stood up to Jag instead of backing down.

I really felt bad for Jag as it seemed at times he would never let go and see what was right in front of him. It was truly a fantastic read with some hot and spicy sex.

Highly recommended.

Review: Each book in the Shifters and Lovers collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. However they can be read as a standalone.

There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved. I especially loved the fact that they were lions in this one. They are probably one of my favorite types of shifters.

Logan had a rough life and was now on the straight and narrow. However he is letting his past stand in the way of his future. When an op comes in to take care of, he meets Noah. He is attracted right off the bat, but still holds back. Let’s face it he is a complete ass to Noah. Noah however wants Logan and is willing to take a chance. Now if they could just get the bad guys all might be well.

Now this story starts off great, but it was missing a lot of stuff. I mean, yeah, Logan realizes when he thinks Noah is in danger. He might just be the man for him. They go from one extreme to the next step too fast. It came off like the author was tired of the book and just threw the ending in. It was a disappointment. Because up to the instant change it was going perfectly.

I did enjoy reading it though and would recommend it.

Review: I love the way this author can put together a book that not only fascinates you but draws you in. This is the only series that I have read by this author that I have read and I can tell you that M.D. Grimm’s books will go in my automatic favorite pile.

Although I must admit sharks are not one of my favorite creatures but then again I watched all of the Jaw’s movies. There are scrolls left in the ocean to be guarded by the shark shifters. They had been once placed in a falcon’s hands to keep safe, but when his mated died he wanted to follow.

Then the ship taking him across the ocean crashed and his scrolls were at the bottom of the ocean. The shark promised to keep them safe. It was now Reef’s duty to protect them. However he wants a human time too, but when a group of humans start searching he finds himself attracted to the captain.

Digger was a war vet who had decided that the ocean was his life now. He had expected to find treasures and sharks but not shark shifters. He was slowly falling in love with Reef, but Reef was keeping secrets. When the ship is attacked, Reef shows him who he truly is and Digger reacted as a human would. After some time, he knew he had to fix what he had done.

I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series that you can’t put down and have to read more than once. It is the perfect story for me and gave me all that I needed. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story. I had a blast reading it and I can’t wait to read the next story.
