Review: Adam has a crush on a certain professor, so much so that he had stolen the man’s picture. Too bad his boss noticed it gone, sent to get another picture from the man leads him into some steamy sex. Wildblood never noticed him, until he walked into his class and now won’t leave him alone.

Now we have a very short and cute, steamy and some hot sex in this story. It was funny as hell but I just didn’t connect with it. Other than the guy liked the guy, stole his picture, gets notice and hot sex, there really doesn’t seem to be a major plot. It came off more like porn then a true story, which was a very big flop for me. It had potential but didn’t come out.

I am afraid that this was one story that was not for me.

Music journalist Bryan Gallagher’s life has completely changed in an unexpected way. Not only has he snagged a dream assignment as the memoirist to alternative music’s rock superstar Aubrey King, but he’s also promised to give the beautiful and enigmatic musician a chance for them to forge a relationship. It’s all very overwhelming for Bryan since, up until he spent a sexually charged day and night with Aubrey, Bryan has never even dreamed of being with a man.

Aubrey is completely smitten with the boyishly handsome, young rock writer, Bryan. After their instant spark grows into something more, Aubrey is desperate to keep Bryan by his side for always. He’s promised Bryan that their love is for real, that Bryan isn’t simply one of his rock star conquests.

Their road isn’t an easy one, though. Despite their deepening bond and growing need for each other, other factors intrude. Neither Aubrey nor Bryan is ready to come out, and their relationship needs to remain a carefully guarded secret. In addition, Aubrey has to answer to the demands of his profession and Bryan has to traverse the shifting waters between his personal and business relationship with his famous lover.

Then a secret is revealed and everything in their joint world implodes. When a love is so strong that two men can barely take a breath without thinking of the other, will that be enough to bridge the loss of trust? The only way they can rock their love forever is if Aubrey can reach Bryan before it’s too late.

Review: Bryan is a music journalist and all his dreams have come true. He has the job, the rockstar and life he has always wanted. Aubrey confused me as to why he wouldn’t be honest with someone he starts a relationship with. It seemed to be a recipe of disaster to me.

I really wanted to love this story as I usually love all this author’s books. But this one had me feeling like either I was missing something important in the storyline or something was missing altogether. Although well written and with a fantastic storyline I just could not connect with the characters.

After writing this much of the review I discovered there was a prequel book before this one that I did not know about. I did not go back and read the first one as I felt it would have been a waste of time considering I had already finished this book.

But despite not knowing of the other book this one is a good read as it follows the budding relationship of Bryan and Aubrey and the consequential secret that Aubrey is keeping. Plenty of drama and hot action to keep the reader intrigued and interested.

Great read.

Review: This is my first story by Rick and I can tell you that I am definitely intrigued by it. I have to say though, that the beginning was a bit slow for me and I actually had to walk away from it. The pace was just not fast enough to keep my attention for long. The story itself though was pretty damn good. It had a lot going on in it and I was surprised that it had all these twists to it. When I thought I knew what was going on, well let’s just say I had no clue in the end.

My other thing is I have never been one into stories with rent boys or escorts. They always seem to have the same thing going on. So I was quite surprised that this one was definitely a fresh new tale to me and I enjoyed the characters quite a bit. I admit that the whole story surprised me all the way to the end.

We have some characters with unusual names that are quite different from each other, yet they have this pull to be with each other. Wren has just lost his job and had no real place to go except to continue living with his mother. However it would seem that she had somewhere else she wanted to live so Wren was pretty much on his own. Then Dave approached him with a job offer. To his luck he had just had his wallet stolen so he ended up working for the ass.

David is a forty-nine year old virgin who loves to sell sexy men for sex. He is about as evil as you can find, but he also different. He saves them from drugs and smoking, trying to show them that they can make money by doing something they enjoy. Then one of his rent boys is murdered.

Rufus is to be Wren’s mentor and help him get into the life. His past was filled with drugs that would eventually kill him. Dave saved him from that death and continued to keep him clean. Hi one night with Wren has shown him that he does in fact still feel something more. Too bad after that night Wren realizes he is not cut out to sell his body. The thing is these two seem to want each other, time will tell if it will be enough or not.

Now I loved the mystery that this story had as well as the action, but the journal entries were a bit too much for me. I lost interest in those moments of reading. Other than my issues with this book, I have to say that Rick R. Reed is one gifted author. This story might not have been for me, but I can guarantee that if you love mysteries, action and some amazing twist, then this will be for you.

Review: Max loves his job as a chemist and creating new protective materials. He harbors a secret crush for his boos Blake. The problem, Max is somewhat shy so he doesn’t really say anything.

Blake has noticed Max since he started work though I am unsure why he took so long to approach him. The way he went about easing Max into the BDSM lifestyle was brilliant and patient. I loved both these characters as they seemed to complement the other.

Well written and draws you in from the start.

Review: This has got to be one of the most beautiful, compelling, gritty, and AGGRAVATING books I’ve ever read!! Both Zack and Archie (ESPECIALLY Archie!) give new meaning to the words “blind, deaf, and dumb.” Neither Archie nor Zack has even a clue for how the other truly feels, and so they blindly continue down a path guaranteed to rip them and their relationship to shreds.

Misunderstandings, miscommunications, and foolish pride seems to be all they have in common, and it takes a separation, brutal advise from several friends, and (this part literally had me crying my heart out) Archie reading in Zack’s diary just how hopeless and alone Zack really feels, to clear the air between them, and give Archie and Zack the HEA they both deserve.

Review: Where do I even begin? Bouncing back is the story of a resort called Cozzi Cove, run by Cal Cozzi. It I s also about the guests for this summer’s season as well.

In one Cabin we have Mario (remember him from infatuation?) and his twin Harold. We have a wealthy Gay couple whose son is coming for a visit as well. We have an OCD writer, a porn star, A man on his deathbed, a young waiter on vacation and a reclusive middle-aged gamer and a mermaid. (I will let you read and see if the Mermaid is real.) And we have some regulars as well. Cal’s sister Taylor, Carla, who runs the seafood restaurant in town and Tommy that owns the bar.

Quite a cast of characters. The story is like love boat on land.

I’m not going into detail about any coupling as that would be spoilers so I will let you grab a copy to see what all goes on. I will say each storyline is fabulous. Though this isn’t a mystery, I sat on the edge of my chair wondering who was going to fall for who and if it was all going to be happy endings.

If you like a lot of angst, some humor, love, sadness, (be sure to have a couple of boxes of tissue handy and some hot sensual man-sex I highly, highly recommend this book. I loved all of the Joe Cosentino’s books, but I think this is my favorite to date!

I am ready for book 2!

Review: Wyatt is a construction owner that loves to cook. When his favorite band advertised a cooking contest, he entered only with the hopes of getting to meet his favorite band and the Drummer Tulley in particular. But with the grand prize being a live-in cook for the famous, sexy drummer that upped Wyatt’s efforts to win. Soon he realized he didn’t stand a chance against Pierre, the pick for the host. Except, Tulley found himself very attracted to Wyatt, and he loved his cooking.

I loved this story. It is fun, sweet and an excellent read from start to finish. I love those cooking shows, so that made it even more fun and exciting to me. The thing I liked most was, though it seemed predictable,  immediately I could see several paths the story could go. Then with each elimination or added move between Wyatt and Tulley, I would change my mind as to the outcome.

I wasn’t disappointed at all.

If you are looking for a fun, sexy romance, like cooking shows and sexy rock stars; you will love this.

Blurb: Danny Avers is a teacher in small town Colorado. Back in the day, before high-speed Internet, social media, smartphones, or streaming anything, Danny’s just trying to live down his wild teenage years and carry on the only way he knows how: one day at a time. The last person he expects to see back in town is Harlan Quinn, his old best friend and former consummate bad boy. And when he finds out Quinn is the new sheriff and his new neighbor, it’s even more of a shock.

Quinn knows there’s more to his old hometown than meets the eye. There’s more to Danny than old memories and quiet living too. But as in the past, stirring things up is Quinn’s specialty, and he sets out to do that, in more ways than one, pushing Danny to admit there’s more to life and that their old town just might manage to be new again. That’s if old town thinking doesn’t get them both killed.

Review: Danny and Quinn were lovers when they were teenagers, then Quinn left town. Danny was in an accident where several local teens died. He was the only survivor, and he had been drunk and high. After a long stint in the hospital and rehab, he went to college and became a teacher. Danny lives a solitary life; his only friends are a couple of teachers that speak to him at work.

Quinn returns as sheriff and rents a house on the outskirts of town, and it turns out that his first love, Danny is his neighbor. Danny and Quinn hit it off well, rebuilding what they lost.

Quinn has a secret of why he really is in town. One that could put him and Danny in Danger.

I love B.A. Tortuga’s style of writing. The short, clipped sentences usually add punch to the characters. However, in this story, I think there were some sentences that this style made the thoughts a bit confusing, and I had to read the paragraph a few times to catch on. Of course, that is just my opinion.

Both Danny and Quinn’s past were brought up a lot but not in detail. We knew they had one but not how they met or even why Quinn left suddenly.  I would have loved more of this back story and a bit more of the mystery that Quinn was working on than some of the sex scenes. Don’ get me wrong…the sex was scorching, but there was way too much in my opinion.

Now having said that…I did like the story. I liked both Quinn and Danny. There were scenes to die for. I adored the Thanksgiving scene.  It was only one of the scene that made the story so realistic and brought Quinn and Danny to life. I also felt so sorry for Danny a few times as well. Just the relationship between Danny and Quinn makes this boo worth reading. Oh, I almost forgot Rags. You have to love a dog in a story, and Rags is a fun addition!

If you are looking for a story with a sexy sheriff, a hot schoolteacher, a cuddly dog, a bit of mystery, second chances, some angst and lots and lots of scorching hot man-sex, this is for you!

Review: Two men who come together after a catastrophic rainstorm find a love they never dreamed of. Callum was a NYC stockbroker whose parents died in the world trade center attack. Since then he has kept to himself. Finding Angelo, a filmmaker unconscious in his barn after a vicious rainstorm with no way to get help.

He takes the man home and nurses him back to health. While healing Angelo and Callum get to know one another and discover that even though both are straight they have an undeniable bond to each other.

I felt bad for Callum’s loss and Angelo’s need to get away from the film industry. It seemed these two men needed each other in order to go on a different path that is much happier than the one they are currently on.

Well written this book draws you in and doesn’t let go until the very end.

Review:  I have had a chance to get to know what this author’s work is about and I have to say that it is fantastic. She added in a bit more to this story that shows what it is like to have PTSD. I loved that there is some humor in such a serious toned story.

Although I do have to admit that the porn parts I could have done without. I have never really liked a book that had a lot of sex and multiple partners so I knew that if I wanted to read this story I would have to overcome that part of me. I was glad that I did too. Otherwise I would have missed out on a great story.

Gabe and Micah work for Cocks, but there is something that binds them together even stronger. Gabe lost his lover to a senseless death and had trouble dealing with it. When he met Micah, he realized he has found a good friend. Micah had been in the army when their vehicle had been bombed. Micah had not only lost his lover to the explosion but he lost his left leg. They were both drowning and needed help.

Tristan’s family had been disappointed in him when he wanted to become a psychiatrist, instead of a police officer. He wanted to help people who were hurting. He was glad to be out of the lime light with his older brothers. However he had not expected to fall in love with these two sexy men.

I loved how TM Smith added in Micah’s struggles from the war. To see his dreams, nightmares and reactions to loud noises brings what many military deals with after the war.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit and was proud to have had a chance to read it.

I would definitely recommend it.

Review: Jason Stern’s life went from comfortable and full to complicated and barren with just two words… I’m gay. His loving and devoted family cut him off with one wave of his father’s hand.

Determined to finish college but now homeless, Jason continues classes and checks in at a local shelter. Thankfully, a friend from college sees Jason in line at the shelter and takes him to dinner, then offers him a room at his place. From then on Jason has a new family, they may not be blood, but they accept Jason as he is and don’t condemn him for being who he is.

A few years later Jason is now running the shelter that is a safe haven for LGBT youth. Life is pretty grand, if Jason weren’t extremely attracted to the newest volunteer, Quinn Fitzpatrick… a priest in training that is on a hiatus while he figures out if the clergy is the life he wants to lead.

Quinn Fitzpatrick has always struggled with his attraction to the same-sex. His religious upbringing coupled with his mother’s disdain for that type of lifestyle have caused Quinn to try to be something, someone who he is not.

On a hiatus from his training, Quinn is finding it harder and harder to lie to himself about who he is. His attraction to Jason doesn’t help matters any. Jason is an amazing guy though, as much as he wants something more with Quinn, he keeps those thoughts and feelings close to the heart and does his best to just be Quinn’s friend. This time it’s not two little words that change Jason’s life, its one little thing… a kiss.

It took me a few chapters to get into this story as the first three books were about a different couple. I assumed book 4 would continue their story. But once I got to know Jason I was very interested in where his story would go.

I also spent about half the book holding my breath, waiting for the bottom to fall out. I must say, I’m happy that I kept reading with both those struggles because this was such a great story, quite possibly better than the original trilogy.

I loved Jason! His character, his personality, his inner monologue as he navigated his constantly changing relationship with Quinn. The fear of losing Quinn and then having to accept that he just might. It was heartbreaking.

And if you think you’ll dislike Quinn because of all that, you won’t. Quinn’s struggle with his sexuality and what is expected of him is very real, very well written and will cause you to be torn as well. As a reader I was so drawn into both characters reality and torn on how I wanted the story to go.

Slow to start but so well written, the situations had reality and depth and the characters were well-developed and flawed, which made them that much more real for me.

It’s an emotional, smexy, intriguing story, and I highly recommend the read. If you haven’t read the first 3 books you can still read this one, it is a stand-alone story in itself.

Review: Forbidden is a short, sexy tale of a successful businessman that is fully in the closet. David goes into a male strip club not knowing what to expect. He is star struck with a young sexy stripper and can’t stop going.

What ensues is angst, drama, taboo and a very hot romance. I liked this story. I liked both characters. Each has their secrets. There are some really slimy characters as well that I loved to hate. If you are a fan of Scarlet’s you will be familiar with the dark, angst that leads to at least a happy for now ending.

There is violence, dubious consent, and orgies, along with the romance.

Review: This is the second book in this series however they can be read as a stand alone. Although the characters are mentioned in the previous book, you won’t get lost if you don’t read book one.

Kai is a new author to me and I must admit that I was a bit surprised. When I saw the title I was a bit leery of the story and then I read the blurb. Now the blurb gave me a bit more to go on, but I still wasn’t really sure if I wanted to give it a chance. I did however like the cover and was intrigued enough to give it a look.

Now most of the book had a great depth and I had fun with it. Then there was this big dramatic scene and nothing. It just let me down quite a bit. It should have been more fire in it. The story itself had great potential and where it was leading was a great idea.

Dante had had his life before him, set up and ready then he found his parents murdered. His life had changed, but only to a part. He had been raised in honor, loyalty and respect. He is the heir to one of the biggest mafia families around and was the underboss now. Then he meets Carlos.

Carlos is the second son of a big cartel boss. He has almost everything he could want, but all he wants is parties and sex. Then he meets Dante and things change big time. They are in a world that will kill them, if it comes out that they are gay. What it does is start a war between the cartels.

I felt disappointed in the errors that I found in the story. Normally I don’t even really pay attention to them, but there were too many to count. The story stopped making sense and the words just mixed wrong. There are parts that come up in the story and it makes it feel like a waste to have written it. It doesn’t really affect the story too much.

Now as for Dante and Carlos, they are in a world where they would be killed off for being in love. However they are hot and very sexy. Their world comes off very dark and dangerous. There are drugs, death, kidnappings, human trafficking, prostitution, abuse and so much more in this book.

I did not much care for this book. It comes off a bit well off. There were parts that were missing and then there were parts that should have been missing. It gives you parts that are teasing when it should have had more depth and details. Other than all of my issues it has great potential.

It starts out pretty damn good and very hot, but went downhill just as fast. It came off like the author was just trying to finish it fast and didn’t take the time to look over it all. I was disappointed in this story. I am not really sure if I want to read the next book. However I do hope that it has more to it.
