Work keeps CEO Alex Sterling from focusing on the fact he’s an alpha wolf alone, with no male omega mate by his side.

Review:  I started reading romance stories at the age of twelve and was always intrigued by the worlds that authors can come up with. Then a few years ago I read my first gay romance and I decided that there was just something about them that I liked more. I, like many, have favorites that we always follow and I am thinking that this author might be heading that way. There is just something about the world that she creates that kept me captivated throughout the whole entire book.  I love how there is a serious tone to it, but that it is equally matched with humor. I can’t stand a book that has no humor in it; I would rather be laughing then just sitting there.

Jonah was an omega wolf that had escaped from basically his cage.  It would seem omega wolves are just as cruel to each other as some alphas are to them.  He ran at such a young age and found a home to stay in.  He just wasn’t really cut out for the city and its smell.  However he loved working for his boss.  The problem was his boss was an alpha wolf shifter and Jonah managed to hide what he was.  However that all changed when Alex found him in heat.  Alex knew Jonah was his mate, but he hadn’t known that he was a wolf till the heat got too much for Jonah.  He just now had to figure out how to get Jonah to trust him.

To me there is nothing better than a good romance, but when it is a paranormal then it hits higher marks to me.  Now I have to admit that this story seemed to move around way too fast for me to keep up in some parts.  However I did enjoy reading it and cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in this amazing new series.

Review:  Each book in the Gillham Pack Series collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This series is also connected to the Whitedell Pride series.

I started reading romance stories at the age of twelve and was always intrigued by the worlds that authors can come up with. Then a few years ago I read my first gay romance and I decided that there was just something about them that I liked more. I, like many, have favorites that we always follow and Catherine Lievens is one of those authors for me. There is just something about the worlds that she creates that keeps me captivated throughout the whole entire book. So much so that when a new book comes out, I must always start reading the very first book that leads up to this one.

I love how there is a serious tone to it, but that it is equally matched with humor. I can’t stand a book that has no humor in it; I would rather be laughing then just sitting there. I also love how the mates are well loved and protected by their stronger mates. There is always lust, love, hot sex and a good amount of danger placed in these stories that keeps my attention as well.

Nuallan was sent to Gillham to kill the pack alpha, but he isn’t the type to hurt anyone so well you guessed it our beloved Kameron is fine as always.  He was placed in their cell, because Kam knew that the man was not a killer.  After trying to kill himself, he hides alone in his cell although his friend Alex tries to get him to leave.  Although dragging him to the big coming out wasn’t what he wanted, the man he sees is.  It would seem our little fae has found his mate.

Ethan is human and is there for the explanation about shifters, although he always knew something was up with them.  He takes one look at the frightened man across the room and knew he wanted to help.  He just hadn’t expected to be the man’s mate.  Things might just be looking up for them both.  Especially when Nuallan’s leader lets them into a big secret.

To me there is nothing better than a good romance, but when it is a paranormal then it hits higher marks to me. I love them especially when there are some gorgeous men in some kinky situations. I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series that you can’t put down and have to read more than once. It is the perfect story for me and gave me all that I needed. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story. I had a blast reading it and I can’t wait to read the next story. When Catherine puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. I would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

Review: I have to admit I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started to read this one. I love to read sport orientated books – especially when you have the famous bad-boy type of competitor (though Cullen is not a bad boy). I also love when one or both of the MCs are thrown into a situation completely unexpected to what they were expecting for their careers. But … I don’t know. I just felt that while reading Catching Heir I was expecting more.

The story is about Cullen Patrick; he’s famous on the snowboarding circuit and is one of the best in the country. However, he gets a call from a lawyer one day. He has inherited the bed and breakfast owned by the grandfather he had never known. There are conditions to the will, though, specifically that hotel manager Matt Nathanson is to be consulted on any major changes and essentially cannot be fired. Matt is the devoted manager of Treeline Estates. He has a lot of ideas to improve, even with a tight budget and still ensure that the building maintains its historical façade. Matt is close to inheriting Treeline too, except that Cullen finally turns up to claim his inheritance.

I enjoyed the story, don’t get me wrong. I particularly love Matt’s character. But for me there was just something missing. I’m not sure how to explain it. I’ve read books by Julia Talbot before and have enjoyed them. I love the writing style. The problem, I think, with Catching Heir, that I while I was able to feel the attraction between the guys; I wasn’t totally sold on the chemistry between them. There was something about Cullen that seemed like things were being held back – whether that was intentional part of the story or just the writing, I’m not sure.

However, for a bit of a winter treat, this was still an enjoyable story, because in the end I really did love Matt and after a while I could see that he and Cullen were meant to be.

Review: I wish I could give this story more than five hearts as it was an amazing book to read. I loved the details regarding each enhanced team member. Though I have to admit I want to get know them all better. Talon is the leader of a team (H.E.R.O. Human Enhanced Rescue Organization) whose unique abilities will help where the police cannot and hopefully end the bigotry against them, and he is also against them having human partners.

The team is human apart from Gael, Vance, Eli, Sawyer and Talons abilities. The way the enhanced are treated really pissed me off. Just because they have abilities does not mean they are animals and inhuman. I was glad that some people in the department thought the same.

I seriously liked Finn. He was not afraid to go after what he wanted and despite his dyslexia he strived to do the best he could. I disliked his mother and brother with a passion. I felt he flourished with the team despite the rocky start.

This book is action packed, suspenseful with a romance added in the mix. Talon needed to seriously get his butt out of his head and stop treating Finn like he didn’t belong. Despite that Talon started to admire Finn’s determination. There was a lot of tension at the beginning between these two as well as the members of the team.

I seriously hope there will be books about the other enhanced members of the team as I would love reading their background stories in more detail as well as seeing how the react and interact with a partner of their own. I can’t recommend this book enough as it was a fantastic story that I enjoyed to the very end.

I liked the secret admirer aspect of the story but would have preferred it that I did not know who it was. Russell comes to Sam’s every day for coffee and conversation. When asked by Sam for a favor Russell agrees. Thus begins a secret admirer sending Russell hints to his identity, which I guessed right away.

It was a cute, sweet story. If you like a fast read with sexy men and romance then this is for you.

One man one step away from becoming an alcoholic and another trying to live again after a horrific relationship nightmare come together and all seems to go well until Russell erupts in a blind alcoholic rage after an incident. Poor Justin is thrown back into a scenario he’d rather forget so leaves in terror.

These two men Justin Russell had so many issues I was honestly surprised they got together at all rather taking time and getting through their baggage before attempting a relationship. Nevertheless, the two men seem to need one another and once the incident that drove Justin away is talked over they come together.

Emotional, dramatic and tense at times this book delivers a punch.

Brian has no clue who he after a car accident leaves him with amnesia. His family help but Brian soon discovers they are lying to him so he leaves for a small town that seems familiar looking for Russell. He learns that Russ is on his honeymoon.

Sylvester has longed for Brian for a while yet kept it secret. Now Brian is back with no memory. I loved that Sylvester seemed to have a second chance. Though Brian at times seemed out of character with his callousness.

It was an interesting story that draws you in with plenty of drama. Good read.

Review: I really have become a true fan of Pat Henshaw’s work since getting into the Foothills Pride series. The Orpheum Miracle is Pat’s offering this year to Dreamspinner Press’s Christmas themed stories.

This is a really sweet and uplifting story, which reminded me a bit Oliver Twist or A Christmas Carol when it comes to basing the entire thing around Christmas and orphans. Mick is the character narrating our story. He lived in a kid’s home most of his life, never adopted and all he really has is his job managing the Orpheum Theatre. He really has only connected with one person in his life, but that was back in his teens and that kid had disappeared from his life when the kid got adopted.

Things change one Christmas, a time of year he has never got to love, when he meets the new owner of the theatre, Jim. Jim is a bit mysterious, but you’ll figure out the ending before you get there probably. Nonetheless, the romance that begins to develop between the MCs is sweet and I totally loved it!
