Stake Dolan has worked as a firefighter for almost a decade. He knows he’s loud, brash, and occasionally abrasive, not that he tries to be. Sometimes, he just blurts stuff out without thinking. His thoughtless words get him in trouble, and the chief orders him to help with the clean-up of some of the local hiking trailheads.

At one of them, Dolan meets Cecil Rochette. The friendly man makes a pass at him, but Dolan quickly shuts him down. A few of his fellow firefighters are gay, but he is not. Still, while he doesn’t know why, there’s something about the guy that arouses him. When Cecil keeps popping up in his path, interrupting his life, he begins to wonder what it’d be like to give in to the mischievous man’s advances.

Will doing something so different be worth the price, especially when no one has been able to tolerate his mouth for long?

Review: Each book in the Wolves of Stone Ridge collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Stake can’t keep his mouth and is always getting in trouble for it. This time it ended up with him getting suspended for three days and having to help the parks department out. He had not ever thought that he was gay, seeing as he has never looked at a man. So when he meets Cecil his life is about to change. Change in more ways than one.

Cecil is a wolf shifter who loves his family, has a big heart and finds a kitten to bring home. A kitten among a group of wolves and an Andrean cat. Should make for an interesting time. Then he smells his mate and things are about to get interesting. Now all he needs is a ball gag for Stake.

I would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

Paul Fallon is a fashion advertising guru. He’s a genius at dealing with difficult editors, art directors, and designers alike. He thrives on the chaotic atmosphere and constant challenges. But in his personal life, he’s hoping for peace and stability. Settling down with a nice doctor or lawyer sounds perfect. Anyone but an artist. He’s been there, done that, and he doesn’t want to relive the heartache.

Seth Landau is a model, occasional guitarist, and aspiring painter. He’s quirky, flighty, and wise beyond his years. Life has taught him some tough lessons, then given him opportunities he never dreamed of. He’s learned to appreciate the fragility of life and to express it in his work. Seth’s flare for the absurd combined with a supple mind and a beautiful body are too alluring for Paul to ignore. Against his best intentions, Paul is drawn to the younger man whose particular brand of crazy challenges Paul to accept that things aren’t always as they seem. Sometimes taking a chance is better than being safe.

Foster dreams of getting away, but after his father’s death, he has to take over the family dairy farm. It soon becomes clear his father hasn’t been doing the best job of running it, so not only does Foster need to take over the day-to-day operations, he also needs to find new ways of bringing in revenue.

Javi has no time to dream. He and his family are migrant workers, and daily survival is a struggle, so they travel to anywhere they can get work. When they arrive in their old van, Foster arranges for Javi to help him on the farm.

To Javi’s surprise, Foster listens to his ideas and actually puts them into action. Over days that turn into weeks, they grow to like and then care for each other, but they come from two very different worlds, and they both have responsibilities to their families that neither can walk away from. Is it possible for them to discover a dream they can share? Perhaps they can plant their own and nurture it together to see it grow, if their different backgrounds don’t separate them forever.
