Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.
Events at the start of the book happen in conjunction with the first book in the series. It was nice to see how Keith and Bobby first met in order to help their best friends. What follows after should have just been a hookup but it turns into something more for both of them.

What I find funny was that the two of them fall into the same trap that their friends did. Neither one is willing to be themselves out there and admit that their relationship if more than just fuck buddies. Also Keith lets his age and other people get in the way of things.

Thankfully Keith pulls his head out of his ass. Just in time too in order to be there for Bobby when his world falls apart.

The sex was a little low-key in this book. A good portion happens “off screen” I suppose I could say. What scenes there are, are hot and sexy with just the right amount of steamy. This book really seemed to focus in on the events and fall outs.

I will say this, the start was a little stilted for me. There was a lack of emotion. The details and interactions were given, but it was just that. I didn’t really feel Keith and Bobby until later in the book.

Overall I did enjoy this story once I got past those first few chapters.

Blurb: Logan is a wolf with a past. His mother is a witch, an evil one that tried to murder his friends and tear his pack apart. He volunteered for the small group tasked with stopping her and was faced with a difficult decision. He chose to step in front of his friend and take the deadly spell meant for Kyle. It killed him.

At least that’s what he thought until he was once again put in the position to choose in a dream. This time, by a deity who offered him a chance to move on or come back. It is that melodic voice that tempts him back with the promise that he would be loved.

Needless to say the news that it wasn’t a dream and he now belongs to a Goddess isn’t a nice surprise in the cold light of day and he rebels against the ownership. His friends rally round him and summon the deity to demand answers.

Except…when Cerridwen appears, she isn’t a Goddess anymore but a God. With white hair that glitters with magic, mesmerizing eyes and a body made for sin that makes his wolf pant.

It isn’t a short or easy road, but Logan gives Cerrid the chance the man asks for and discovers being claimed by someone may not be that bad a thing, because sometimes the belonging goes both ways.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

This was a really good and enjoyable read. Logan gave his life to save his Alpha. But something or someone gave him another chance, at life and love. When Logan finds out he has been claimed by the Goddess Cerridwen, Logan is not exactly thrilled with the news. He was promised to be loved, however Cerridwen is a woman, and Logan is definitely gay.

Only Cerridwen, now to be called Cerrid changes his whole personality along with his body to fit Logan’s desires. Cerrid also manages to create a mate bond between them. Cerrid take the “gay for you” fantasy to a whole new level.

I really liked Cerrid. He has a lot to learn about the world since he has not been in the human realm for a long time. Things like fashion and electronics. The shopping trip had me laughing. He may not understand the world at large, but he sure does enjoy learning about it with Logan’s help.

Logan has his own learning to do. Things like anything is possible with a God as a mate. And how to live in a treehouse that seems to be alive.

These two are definitely hot and sexy together. Let me just say that a newly male God and the internet are very good things, especially for Logan.

This book was funny and sweet. It was great addition to the Pack Valley world.

Review: A Taste of You is the first book I’ve read by Irene Preston and one thing that kept me going was the writing style – it was dramatic and you could feel the passion coming through with each sentence.

But, this is a complicated story – the storyline and the passion for food are not complicated but the romance is. In fact, what makes things even more complicated, for me anyway, is that the romance is understated when it felt as though it was ready to burst off the page most of the time.

The story is about partners in business, restaurant owners Giancarlo, who is from an old-fashioned family from NY and passionate about his food, and the less sociable celebrity chef Garrett, who also happens to be English.

Giancarlo, aka Carlo, loves his food and he loves his business, he also happens to love his best friend, Garrett, even if unrequited love seems to be taking on a toll on him. Then there is Garrett. He flies in and out of NY from LA filming his popular TV show. He refuses to commit to any man and he relies on Carlo more than he realises.

Personally, I would have loved more angst (which is not something I generally like) and more drama when it comes to Garrett realising that he could lose Carlo. Carlo is happy to sit back because he will do anything to make Garrett happy. He is the quiet, unassuming type (though he is also funny and very smart!) and I love how his character was written.

I also liked Garrett’s character, while he was relatable; I really just wanted him to be more. There is no other way I can put it other than saying that Garrett spends most of the time being selfish, oblivious and unable to deal with his own issues. Everything about Garrett seems to be understated and part of me just wanted to burst out with passion, whether it is hate or love, numerous times throughout.

I think it’s because of how Garrett’s character is written that I found it difficult to feel any particular sparks between them. At first he was jealous that Carlo may be in love and then he wanted his friend happy. It’s a selfish love at first. Their sexual relationship seemed to be more friends with benefits and not actual lust.

However, in saying that, I realise that in a subtle sort of way, we are just being told that their romantic relationship is a natural extension of their friendship.

Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable read. In the end I was able to see the slow build from friendship to sex to actual lust and ultimately, love.

This is my favourite type of romance and A Taste of You, though it has its issues, is very enjoyable.

Review: Sonny and Garron have been married a few years, but Sonny doesn’t even remember his wedding day or being shot. His seizures are getting worse, but he is hiding this from Garron.

Garron can see things are to right with Sonny especially after an accident when Sonny goes to help Lily after she has a flat. He understands Sonny wanting to be able to do the things he used to and not lose his ranch, but he doesn’t want to lose Sonny.

This story takes on a bit of a sadder edge with Sonny dealing with his issues. He wishes at times that he had died when he was shot. Not being able to remember his wedding day bothers him, so Garron wants to show him just how special Sonny is to not only him but his whole family. It’s bittersweet, sexy and heartwarming.

I have loved this series and getting another glimpse at Nate, Rio, and Ryan (let’s all go to Cattle Valley now)!

If you like sexy cowboys, a sweet romance, love that lasts through trials and tribulation, a good holiday story and some hot man-sex, this is for you

Blurb: Mischa knows his brothers are up to something. He doesn’t realize it will lead him to Donovan Holloway and change his carefree lifestyle forever.

Having grown up in a free-love hippie commune taking care of the parents who should have been taking care of him, Donovan Holloway, advertising executive, newly made vice president of the company where he’s worked for twenty years, has come a long way.

He’s worked hard to put himself through school and achieve the American dream. All he’s ever wanted is a normal family life—house in the suburbs, two cars, two kids, and a shaggy dog. A family to come home to, to care for, to care for him has been his dream since he was a small boy.

Green-eyed, liberally pierced, black-haired, Mohawk-wearing spoiled youngest son of a Hollywood producer and his actress wife, Mischa Blake have made a terrible mistake. In a fit of childish pique, he’s accepted a dare from his older brothers. The dare? Live on his own, supporting himself completely, for a year without accessing his trust fund. No problem. Except Mischa has never worked a day in his life, hasn’t finished college, and has absolutely no skills to bring to the table.

When he sees Donovan’s ad for a housekeeper/gardener, he has nothing to lose by applying, because …how hard can it be?

Reviewer: Donovan has recently had a promotion and is so busy he has no time to take care of his house and gardens. He decides to put out an ad. He isn’t having much luck when a sexy young man with a Mohawk a face full of piercings and the greenest eyes he has ever seen applies. Against his better judgement, he gives into the young man’s constant pleas.

Mischa and his brothers play truth or dare every week and this week he knows he is in for it. He is spoiled and has no responsibilities since he has a big trust fund, but his dare is to support himself one year without it.

This book is a lot of fun. It is light-hearted and introduces you to some intriguing characters. It’s a sweet May/December romance, and also a sort of opposites attract. I was very fond of Misha. The other characters and the Truth or Dare Game sets up for one heck of a fun series!

Keeping House one of those books you need when you want to wind down with something that makes you smile and takes your breath away. The sex is smoking!

If you like close brothers, May/ December romance, quirky main characters and some hot man-sex, this is definitely for you!

Review: Nikko Lee is a new author for me and I have to tell you that I found this book absolutely enticing. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. I was fascinated by the way their world just comes together. I wasn’t sure what to think at first and can tell you I would have smacked them around a bit.

Josh’s mother had been an Omega just as he was. He was forced by the Alpha to do what they wanted. All he wanted was to escape, no matter if it meant his death. His Alpha had abused his mother and he was born into a pack that was nasty as hell. Or at least that is the way it seems. Josh’s Alpha is Silverbane and is a bit fairer than most wolves. Now in most books that I have come across the strongest male is the Alpha, but you come across Alphas that are females. They are trying to keep the peace with the Amazons.

The way they treat Omegas is bewildering. With permission to leave, Josh sets out on his own. He wanted to find out who he was. Then their Alpha passed on, and left them without a leader. Josh’s bloodline came into existence and it was up to him to find their new Alpha. What a chore that would be. Here he was stuck in a family that he had not wanted ever.

Then the Beta was killed and the killer is close to home. The Shades are coming out. Most of the Amazons cannot see the Shades. So it is up to Josh’s friend Andrea to tell them. The need for an Alpha has led Josh to Gavin.

The problem with this book was it had no romance. There was very little sex, if any. The ending was a disappointment for me. Its story is deep and there is a lot of darkness to it that I didn’t care for. It started out great, but then the darkness came through. It wasn’t as bouncy as I expected. Other than my issues, the book altogether was damn good. It will give you a story that will draw you in that is for sure.

I would recommend it.
