Josh has a plan: get through uni with a good degree and no debts. Focused on his goals, he’s working as an escort to pay his way. He enjoys the no-strings sex and doesn’t have the time or inclination for a relationship. Falling in love definitely isn’t part of the deal—especially not with a client.

When Rupert meets Josh in a bar, he’s smitten on sight. He’s never paid for sex before, but when Josh propositions him, he can’t resist. He should have known one night would never be enough. Luckily for him, he has an inheritance to support his addiction to Josh, because his job in IT wouldn’t cover the cost.

With each appointment the lines get increasingly blurred. Something is developing between them that feels more like a relationship than a business transaction, but they come from different worlds and to go from client-and-escort to lovers seems impossible. If they want a future together, Josh and Rupert have a lot to overcome.

“Lil’ Bro,

If you’re reading this, then something obviously happened and I’m not going to be around. I wanted to let you know how much I love you, and you don’t have to tear yourself up over this. I’m the one who chose to enlist, and I believe I’ve served proudly for the last few years. I know this won’t ease your mind any, but I believe I’m probably in a better place now. Please don’t be sad. I died doing what I loved, fighting for my country. I wish I could be there for you when you tell Mom and Dad about you being gay. Just know that I am with you in spirit. Look to Chase for guidance. I know he’ll be the big brother for you I can no longer be. The guys will be a great support for you, and they won’t care that you’re gay. They’re a great group of guys, and they’ll treat you just like I would. They’ll be a support system for you when Dad blows up, and you know he will. Be safe and know I will be watching out for you from the other side.

Love, Sam.”

Uncommon Valor is not just a story of a gay man, it is the fulfilling story of a young man who is on the verge of discovering his true self and he has the perfect prop to do that. He is also about to become a Dad. Will he pull through as a gay man and a Dad? Or will he fall upon the wayside and reject his newborn child, and in so doing, also reject the man of his dreams?

Shy guy Jed Carter has always felt invisible next to his charismatic older brother, Kent. Kent’s master plan for Jed is simple: University of Virginia, business, sports, and ladies’ man. None of it is Jed, except for playing on the rugby team, which he joins in defiance of soccer-loving Kent. Jed comes out in his sophomore year and starts seeing Pete, an attractive junior, who uses him for sex and videogames. Jed wants more—in life and in love—and starts making his own plans. First on the list: getting to know Charlie, the handsome guy working at the local videogame arcade.

Charlie Ambrose has always felt like an oddball, and not just for his tendency to stutter. Being gay sets him apart from his African-American community, and as a “townie,” he doesn’t fit in with the college crowd. Charlie’s inspiration is his cousin, Morocco, who’s transgender and doesn’t give a fig about fitting in. Art is Charlie’s passion, and when a local videogame designer discovers him, Charlie’s living a dream. The only thing he’s missing is love. But the last person Charlie expects to find it with is a cute, white U.Va. rugby player named Jed.

Blurb: It isn’t easy being a Morgan. Especially when dead bodies start piling up and there’s not a damned thing you can do about it.
Quinn Morgan never quite fit into the family mold. He dreamed of a life with books instead of badges and knowledge instead of law—and a life with Rafe Andrade, his older brothers’ bad boy friend and the man who broke his very young heart.

Rafe Andrade returned home to lick his wounds following his ejection from the band he helped form. A recovering drug addict, Rafe spends his time wallowing in guilt, until he finds himself faced with his original addiction, Quinn Morgan—the reason he fled the city in the first place.

When Rafe hears the Sinners are looking for a bassist, it’s a chance to redeem himself, but as a crazed murderer draws closer to Quinn, Rafe’s willing to sacrifice everything—including himself—to keep his quixotic Morgan safe and sound.

Review: Where there is a Morgan, trouble is likely not far behind.
Quinn Morgan is the odd man out when it comes to his very loud, very large Irish Catholic family. His father is a high-ranking official with the police department, most of his siblings, of which there are many, are cops as well. There is the black sheep that became a fireman, teenage rebellion and the need to be different from his brothers and sisters. But Quinn, he has always had trouble trying to find his own place in this world.

The one thing that kept him grounded, centered as a youth was Rafe Andrade. The two always shared a bond, so when Rafe took his leave to recognize his dream of being a Rock Star, it affected Quinn and not in a good way.

Rafe Andrade is a transplant Morgan, again, one of many. Brigid and Donal Morgan, the matriarchs of this large Irish family, are fierce, loyal and loving; not only with their own brood, but with their children’s friends and partners as well. And while Donal is a force to be reckoned with, you do not want to piss off the five foot tall red-headed Irish woman who is Brigid Morgan. When Rafe took off for greener pastures, losing his way and making some devastating mistakes, the Morgan’s welcomed him back with open arms.

But Rafe has continued to struggle with his past mistakes, and the one that has torn him apart most was walking away from Quinn.

As with all the books in this series, I am in love with the Irish baroque, the camaraderie between brothers and friends, and the unwavering commitment they all have to each other. Even if some of them do their damnedest to state otherwise, Yes Mickie, I’m talking to you! A few twists with this story, the usual form of threat for the family is changed up and I honestly didn’t even see the threat to Quinn as what it turned out to be.

Also, Brigid gets caught in the crossfire of another Morgan catastrophe, and I tell you what, watching all these big, brooding, alpha males cower in the wake of Brigid being hurt, it was very moving. She is the glue that holds them all together, and you have not seen anything yet to prepare you for the level of pissed off when someone accidentally hits mama.

Of course it’s a wild ride, there is a lot of passion and emotions run high, that’s par for the course with this group. What is different, are the characters and their struggles. I really enjoy it when an author continues to evolve and show variety for a series that is going in a specific direction. Change it up. Give the reader something new and fresh to keep you chomping at the bit for more.

Once Quinn and Rafe stop fighting the pull to each other, get past the past, and ignore all the Morgan men that are warning them off each other, Katie bar the door!

Must read series, I highly recommend it; it’s a series where I’ve read the different books multiple times myself. You have to read them in order though or you’ll miss a lot of character interaction and won’t understand some of the things that are said or insinuated throughout.

I hope we get at least one more book in this series, there are still a few loose threads to be neatly cut and folded. Now I will just sit back and wait for the audio, I cannot wait for Tristan James to sink his teeth into Rafe and Quinn!

Just the thought of sharing the gorgeous yet guarded Marian drives Cass wild. Review: Let me start by saying, that there are very writers who can float between genres with the ease of Samantha Kane. If truth be told, this author of the bestselling series, Brothers in Arms, was one of the main reasons I even considered giving MM romance a shot. She creates alpha type men and strong female characters that complement one another. And love is always the underpinning of some sizzling sheet time.

With this new series, Ms. Kane introduces the reader to the Birmingham Rebels, The “red-headed stepchild of the NFL. Led by MC Cass Zielinski, the team and their coaches know that this is the last stop before retirement. Hence, they have something to prove.

Now, most of this title involves Cass and Beau trying to get into Marion’s pants. The sexual tension is palatable by the time they finally do anything. But, there are a couple of subplots that really add to the story line and set up the next book in the series, Calling the Play (due out in December).

If you like a nice slow burn to your romance, really big men who need a little shove to get in touch with their feeling, and a woman who learns that kink has a time and a place, you really need to check out Broken Play.

And if you just want to check out one of the most decadent scenes where 5 horny football players pleasure their female assistant coach…and each other, the price of the book is worth just that scene alone.

Fans of Opal Carew, Mari Carr and Jayne Rylon will really enjoy the contemporary offerings of Samantha Kane.

Review: This is the first book in the Mating Season series.

Jason’s name was put into the lottery, by his parents, without his consent then forced to go where he meets Phobos and Draco his mate. He is afraid at first, because of the horror stories he’s heard about it.

I personally did not like Malloy, a lawyer who seemed to have a chip on his shoulder and had it out for Jason. The man gave me the creeps and I was glad someone put him in his place, so to speak. I really enjoyed this entire book, though some scenes were drawn out and others were too short.

There was some hot sex between Draco, Phobos and Jason that added spice to a well written story.

Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book after the cliffhanger at the end of this one.

Review: This is the seventh book in the Outlaw MC series. It’s a fantastic addition to the series as we learn about Valentine, Romeo’s brother, and Grim. Valentine has been in prison on earth since he was 16 years old. He has learned the hard way not to trust anyone until he meets Grim.

Grim is an Outlaw MC who used to be on the other side of the law. He feels guilty about those years but in my opinion he couldn’t help what others did. But he most definitely should have told Valentine who he was. These two set the pages on fire with their intensity.

This book starts out with a nail-biting scene and continues the same pace throughout the entire story. There is no shortage of action packed scenes with edge of your seat fight scenes not to mention a lot of flirting and sexy action between Grim and Valentine.

My heart broke during the telling of what had happened to Liam. I so wanted to do physical harm to those guards.

I loved the entire book and can’t wait to see what else happens in this series as Outlaw prepares to go get Liam from prison.

Highly recommended.

Blurb: Dan Tolliver, the adopted son of alpha pack leader Jeremiah Tolliver, has suffered his last moment of abuse by his lover Keith Mulligan and finds himself in the hospital. There he meets dark and sharp-tongued Dr. Aiden Kavanaugh, who believes Dan needs some of his straightforward kind of medicine. Still, there is something different about the doctor.

Aiden is a sandman, a weaver of dreams, and has been on earth far longer than even he knows. He’s at the end of his time, ready to transition, and needs a human mate to keep him connected to the world he’s grown to love. Only he hasn’t found a special person who makes him want to stay. He doesn’t despair, because not every sandman has the chance to choose, but he knows if he doesn’t find a partner, he will soon lose his physical form and exist only in dreams.

When Aiden realizes Keith is a far greater monster than Dan has any idea, they grow and work together using the support of the pack—and Dan’s inner strength—to overcome impossible odds.

Review: Dan is human and a coimeádaí. He has been horribly abused by his boyfriend Keith and knows he has to get away from him somehow before Keith kills him. What he doesn’t expect is to meet another who intrigues him as much as Dr. Aiden does. But Aiden has two secrets one of which might destroy them.

I felt so bad for Dan battling against the memories of the brutality that was inflicted on him by a man who supposedly loved him. I figured something was up with Keith but I did not expect as to what that was. I was pleasantly surprised as to the paranormal aspect of the story as I do not recall reading a story about the sandman so it intrigued me greatly.

Aiden seemed strong and determined yet showed a vulnerable side as well. I thought it was great that Aiden trusted Dan but I was also pissed that he let Dan suffer when he could have stopped it from the beginning. But he did seem to care a great deal about Dan once he realized what he once denied.

The relationship between Dan and Aiden seemed weird at first until they talked to one another. Aiden seemed to be constantly pushing Dan away while Dan was biding his time and reeling Aiden in. I loved both their characters.

Well written this book slowly draws the reader into a world where there are monsters from nightmares hell-bent on taking what they want no matter the cost and the individuals who will stop them from destroying their loved ones.

Review: When I saw the title to this story I thought that it would be a winner. Although I wasn’t sure about the cover for the story. It just comes off as a bit off to me. I tried to find the blurb to this story, but could not locate it. So I went on a whim and choose it. It is by an author that I have not heard of, nor have I read so I was taking a chance.

It is pretty much placed in a bar or club. Richard offers to help those who come in, seeing as he is a therapist. He uses the hypnotic suggestion to help. They only have to rent a hotel room, relax and let it go. This is how he meets Josh. Josh had lost his girlfriend and his job. So he wasn’t looking for more than a drink. Then Richard offers to help. I don’t think he was expecting nor wanting Richard’s true type of help. It changes everything for him.

The way Richard helps, to me is nothing more than rape. Just like giving someone the date rape pill, but Richard’s uses hypnosis. I was disappointed in this story and definitely would not read it again. It has a lot of heat to it, but there is no true story or plot. It lacks true depth to make it a good story. I do not like the idea of screwing with someone at all so that brought it down in all points.

I was disappointed in the whole book.
