Blurb: One man’s trash is another man’s destiny.

Aiden is the black sheep of his family. Of course, always being covered in grease hasn’t helped, but put anything mechanically broken into his hands and he can fix it. His cold-hearted parents have lived off his talent for years, but apparently, it wasn’t enough.

They sell Aiden to slavers and plan to use the funds to buy themselves a life of high social standing within the city. Dumped on a refuse recycling planet along with other enslaved women and children, Aiden uses his talent to transform an ancient wreck of a cargo transport into their escape plan. His plan would have gone off without a hitch, if he hadn’t been shot in the escape. Bleeding, dying, Aiden locks himself into the cockpit of the ship the second help arrives and aids their landing, knowing that unlike the other slaves who have eager families to return to, he has no one. It’s just better if he fades away from this existence.

Jaylon lost all hope of love years ago, when his intended killed herself on the morning of their wedding, rather than face him over her betrayal. Now, as a medic, he has no time to think of what could have been, until a hunk of metal posing as a ship literally falls from the sky.

When Jaylon breaks down the cockpit door to the sight of a pale, skinny, yet breathtaking man, bleeding out on the floor, he has to wonder if fate has sent him a second chance at a future, or if it is just reopening an old wound and pouring salt onto it.

Review: Now this was an amazing story that I found not only interesting but left me wanting more. One knows that families do not always look-alike but with the way this family is one would want to just shoot them. This story has a pretty good twist to it that I think everyone will find interesting, although it left me hanging in the end. I wanted to know how Jaylon reacts to Aiden’s news. I had a blast reading this story.

Aiden’s family is one of those types that you would love to just put to death. It is just his parents. His siblings are great with him. However he is so very different from them. He is so much smaller and you soon learn a great secret once you start reading. He had been sold and ended up saving several children and four women. It had almost cost him his life. However once Jaylon sees him there is no way he is letting him go.

I loved the ending, talk about pay backs. I would definitely recommend reading this. It has great characters and a story that will draw you in and keep you captivated. It is too short for me but I hope that it is just the start and that there will be a second book to this story.

I loved it and look forward to reading more by this amazing author.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.
This book is very different from others written by Sean Michael. There is a very low sexual content for one. This is also a look at another side BDSM that I do not read about much, blood play.

After reading this I needed to take a few moments to really think about what I read. The story is definitely not for the faint of heart. It deals with some very serious issues.

Mike has made appearances in the last two books in this series. His story has intrigued me and I the author would write Mike his own story. I just never figured it would be this one. Mike is never really diagnosed, but it would be a good bet that he has PTSD and definitely agoraphobia. He is also a severe cutter.

Enter a master of blood play Angus, and a follow police officer of Barney’s. He sees Mike and wants to help him. As they spend more time together their relationship grows. Agnus knows about needing to cut to relieve the pain one feels. He was a cutter as a teenager and has his own scares. Agnus knows he may not be able to help Mike completely, but he at least knows he can help Mike get his pain out in a safer way than as he is doing now.

Throughout the book Mike gets a little better and you can see a light at the end of the tunnel for him. I know that he will never be “normal” per say. But having Agnus in his life as well as his friends from the house helps him a great deal. I was left with the hope that someday he may be able live with less pain and be able to let go of some of his fear of the outside world. Both Mike and Agnus got what they both need and find a way to make it work for both of them.

This book is very much off the norm for Sean Michael and I enjoyed it. I hope that in future books there are updates about Mike and Agnus, or maybe even another book dealing with them.

Review: This is the sequel to Amber Allure’s Looking for LookingForAnswersAnswers. It is a fascinating story with guys that you will fall in love with. The thing with this story is that it is a bit confusing if you haven’t read the first story. I love the way Jake just goes with Marcus when he is searching for answers. It shows the love these two men have and how it has grown into so much more.

Marcus is supposed to solve the mystery of shakedowns and extortion. The problem with it is that those he talked to have basically disappeared. Also the fact that they could be told first hand or through others. When someone tells you a story, and you tell it to a friend and then they tell it, it gets a bit stretch out and a bit made up.

So he needs to find the answers. All the while worrying about his boyfriend getting sent overseas for month or two. They are pulled in many directions trying to find the answers, but they prove their love can overcome it all.

I love how they each stand up for each other and they show it each day. I am not one for mysteries but this one is so damn entertaining. It does get a bit confusing. However, it doesn’t take away from the story itself.

Although I would have wanted it to be longer, or instead of two short stories turned it into a novella. I hate having to wait to read another part of the story. I always forget what the first story was about, so I have to read it again before I can start the next story. Christiane always gives one a great story to follow.

I had a blast reading it.

Attempting to keep his sister from being heartbroken, Ross embarks on a dangerous mission to earn a boon from Chieftain Goth. He heads north in search of a secret way for his chieftain’s warriors to attack the clan who took in Goth’s son, Ian.

Much to Ross’s distress, he’s captured by the brawny redhead, Ziethman. He expects to be killed for trespassing, but Ziethman offers a much more pleasurable form of…interrogation. Experiencing sensations he’s never imagined, Ross finds himself craving the other man’s touch.

When Ross learns that Ziethman is more than a man, and is in fact a dragon, can he accept the male’s differences and the help he offers, or will it be too much, sending him running back to his clan to fulfill his mission?

Review: Each book in the Highland Dragons collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Ziethman is a red dragon and is pretty feisty. He is forever getting in trouble with the elders, although for the life of him he has no idea why. Out protecting, he comes across a human climbing the rocks. He is not only intrigued but turned the hell on. Ross is quite the human and Ziethman is determined that this man is his.

Ross is only trying to do what his mother had wanted. Protecting his sister is not turning out the way it is supposed to. When his idiot Chieftain tells him to find another path through the valley, he finds that will be the only way to keep his sister with him. He just wasn’t expecting to find himself surrounded by dragons. Of course he had not expected to find himself mated to one hell of a gorgeous red dragon, who makes a very sexy human. However he still needs to keep his family safe.

The thing with this series is that the ending always leaves you hanging a bit. You know that the Chieftain wants the sister but you never hear what happens next. However for me it doesn’t take away from the story at all. I have such a blast reading Charlie’s stories. They are so damn entertaining.

The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their mates with their entire lives. I had a blast reading this story. This story is perfect for when you are trying to take a break. There is a bit of a serious tone to them but there is a lot of humor in them that I love. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a book.

I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Review: This is the third book in the More Heat than the Sun series. Wow.  This book seemed like a never-ending series of unfortunate and hair-raising events one after another as Nik and Ben again are in a perilous journey after a heart stopping plane ride to only face dangers in Siberia during the winter. People trying to survive while at the same time an unseen force seems intent on ill intent on the survivors.

There was constant plots and twists throughout this book that keep surprising me as the story progressed. I am beginning to like Nik and Ben’s characters as they seem like they know how to handle themselves when push comes to shove. There are some bloody scenes in this book as was to be expected.

After reading book 2 and 3 back to back I have to say I am emotionally exhausted. But it was worth it. I really liked both characters slow changes throughout these books. It was intriguing to read to say the least.

Good read.

Review: This is the second story in this series and you need to start with book one. Each story is about Conner and Gage. The first one is their meeting and getting to know each other. This one is about their falling in love and the dangers around them.

For such a short story there is so much in it that makes it dynamic. The characters are well written and the story itself hits pretty high with me. Although I can honestly say that I wish that all three would just be turned into one big book. I hate having to go from one book to the next just to find out what happens next.

Conner and Gage are slowly falling in love but the dangers are coming out. It is now the shifting moon’s time where creatures take on the dark powers that are available during this time. It turns out that Conner has a bit of magic in him. He will in fact probably turn into a great warlock in time. There is a bit more danger in this one, then in the first story. I had such a blast with it.

I had a blast reading this story. Now there is a bit of wicked twist to this that makes it even better. Although there are bits of the story that needs to be explored more with a touch more description to certain parts, it didn’t take from the story though. This is the second story written by Harper and I can say that I will be looking for more from Harper.

I would recommend reading this story. It has such a fantastic tale that draws you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Review: Where He Belongs is a heart warming story featuring two men who need love, one to heal but both need it to soothe loneliness.

Trina Solet is a good author and generally, at least the books that I’ve read follow the same formula, two men and at least one of them has a child (biological, adopted or younger sibling) but they are also sweet and enjoyable. I like Trina’s stories especially enjoyable after I’ve gone through a particularly intense read.

Gus’s life took an unexpected path when he decided to adopt his friend’s unwanted child. He stopped climbing the corporate ladder and settled down with his son, Josh. Jack’s life has taken a different path, although he too is a corporate climber. Before truly coming out, Jack had married his college girlfriend when he thought that he had fathered her child.

Being around Josh is somewhat painful for Jack. But Josh’s happy energy, which comes through strongly in the text, is one of those things that makes even the reader smile and feel all warm and fuzzy, it also shows us that there is depth to Jack’s character.

I said this was heart warming, but there is a lot of fun and humour injected into this as well, mostly from Gus and Josh. Jack is quite charming, if a little reticent, but then again his personal life has never had a smooth path until now. He’s kind of like the little boy looking in, wanting to join in but too scared.

Like with many of Trina’s books, there aren’t isn’t much in terms of hot, steamy sex scenes but there is a nice subtle sexual tension between the guys which makes things believable, if not relatable.

Jason knows that Tatsu, another dragon warrior who is in love with Kraigan, still believes that he is not worthy of being mated to Kraigan because he is a human and a servant. With that, on top of the fact that Jason can never give Kraigan a child, Jason finds himself struggling against the breaking point as both men fight to keep each other before they’re torn apart.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.
This is a continuation of Kraigan and Jason’s story that was told in book 5 of the series. In this book their relationship faces a few more hurdles.

One of the most difficult is Jason’s fear that Kraigan will one day regret mating him, especially since he cannot give him children. Another issue is Tatsu being able to pick at Jason’s insecurities that he is not good enough.

These two are really funny together. They show their love for one another as much as they love to bicker and tease each other. Plus the kinky little games they get up to are pretty damn spicy and sexy.

I really did enjoy this book. Both Jason and Kraigan seem to grow a bit more into their mating. Kraigan has to really sit down and talk to Jason. He needs to openly express his feelings and thoughts. Something he has trouble with. Jason has to learn to trust Kraigan more and truly believe what he tells him, to believe completely in their mating.

The book includes insight into future books and issues that may be upcoming. It also gives a look at what awaits Tatsu as he gets his own mating.

This is an evolving world and I can’t wait to read what is to come next.

Review: Each book in the Highland Dragons collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.
Ciendon has always followed his older brother. Even when his older brother was nasty with him and beat him when things went wrong. He was considered a thief and that was exactly how he got in this mess. He had listened to his ass of a brother to steal from the dragons and now he was going to have to make up for it. He was never into other men, but when he saw the brown dragon who was to be in charge of him, he was hooked.

Paigon wanted Ciendon with everything in him. Now all he had to do is to show him that he would never be hurt. Even if it cost him something, he was going to prove to Ciendon that he was his. Now all he has to do is to convince the elders that Ciendon was his mate. The man he would love forever. Not to mention the sex is hot.

What I loved most was Ciendon is considered bad at first, but you can tell that he is easily misled. He is not that educated so he has to catch up with everyone else. However with Paigon, he seems to come out. As for Paigon, at first he is as easy-going as the others. But you can tell he has a bit of a temper. Especially if it is about his mate and other dragons. I would say that these two are my favorites out of all of them so far. They are just that easy to love.

Review: This is one fun story with some interesting situations and people involved beyond the trials of having a child and a disaster weekend getaway. Admittedly I read this one without reading book one and in hindsight I really should have because I could tell from reading there was a lot of overarching story.

Nonetheless, this did not take away from my enjoyment of Elias and Josh’s story. However, I really now want to go back and see how it all began!

The story is based around a child’s birthday party and a much-needed getaway where the couple spend a day with a hot porn star. The story is told from Elias’s POV. He has his amazing boyfriend, Josh, and his adorable son, Julio.

His son’s mother is his ex-BFF, who he donated sperm to, but Carina causes endless problems (which culminates into such an unbelievable conclusion you can’t help but laugh). Despite the fact Carina’s boyfriend starts off annoying, the general chaos and calamity that tends to follow Elias is once more a hilarious payoff.

Elias also has hilarious Greek parents who inject a lot of humour into the mix, although Elias himself is also very funny. Samuel Colt, the porn star, is great too though I want to know more about him (one reason why I should probably go back to book 1, there I will probably at least find out the history of the anniversary threesome).

This is a relatable type of chaos – one or two things may seemed getting close to farfetched – but otherwise this is basically the life of a dad, or someone who attracts any number of commotion and drama at every turn. I would say that both apply to Elias.

I cannot say how much this book had me laughing from the utter, but the love between Josh and Elias is also very sweet to read.

Review: Who doesn’t like to read a story with some legal drama and a hot (older) judge? I must admit that was part of the reason that attracted me to this book (I really did think that this was going to be a mature type of relationship). And come on, isn’t that cover just beautiful?

Shawn is a judge who in the last couple years ended a twenty-year relationship/marriage with his husband Scott, who also had a daughter. Since ending this relationship, Shawn’s daughter has been one of those college-aged kids who hoped that her parents would get back together.

Shawn is a guy just trying to get his personal life back on track, which is one of the best aspects of this story. Along the way he meets Jody and Shawn’s life is turned upside down. Jody seems rather flighty, but it’s more of a case that he’s afraid of commitment. He is mature, not only in age, and has a very particular way about him.

I really loved this story, right until the end.

It was fun and the sexual tension between Shawn and Jody was great. The only thing that has bothered me, and brought down my rating, is the ending. It felt as if it too rushed. I felt that Jody’s issues were summed up and swept aside and made him look selfish and left me wondering if he really good enough for Shawn?

Review: Each book in the Venomous Mates collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved.

There is something about the way that Jackie Nacht tells a story that will not only draw you in and keep your attention the whole time, but it will more than likely have you laughing your ass off at some point. Jackie is one of my top ten authors to follow and of course buy all of her books. There is just something about her characters, story and the way they mix with each other. The way they continue not only to fight but protect their mates.

Even going so far in knowing that their mates can fight as well if not better than they can. They might be two different types but they make it easy for each other to do their thing. In this story you have venomous and anti-venomous fighting together. They are sometimes mated to each other also. Which makes it very interesting all the way around.

Now if you don’t read the first book, they can be a bit confusing with the way it is all worded. I am not even sure about certain parts until I go back and read them all over again. For many that might not be possible to do but for me I just go with the flow.

Flex is a platypus and can become venomous when it comes to his mate. For the longest time he thought his friend was dead, but he shows up on Flex’s beach. Now to his surprise Flex brings his mate with him. Happy days are his although Prescott might not agree. Prescott is used to fighting to keep those he cares for safe.

So having a venomous for a mate is going to take a bit of compromise. Now if only he can get Flex to realize that part also.
When my favorite authors puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. Jackie has a way of giving me a world that I can lose myself into and I will always keep coming back to them. They do have a bit of a serious tone to them but there is a bit of humor in them that I love. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a book.

I would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

Review: This is the first story to this amazing new series and I have to say you need to start with this book. Each story is about Gage and Conner as they go towards their future. It was a cute story that was too short for me. However it has a lot pack into it. I was absolutely amazed with it. The characters are well written and there is a bit of a twist to it. The one that is completely evil is not the one you think.

Conner is a very shy young man. The thing is he is taking journalism which most people would think that they have to be out going but for some reason people are just drawn to him. The first time he couldn’t get the courage up to talk to the one man he wanted to. With the help of his professor he gets the nerve and finds out more is hidden with this gorgeous man he wants.

Gage is a werewolf and is very private. He takes one look at Conner and wants him. They have help from different sources and it is found out that they need all the help they can get. Especially when someone wants Conner and will kill those around to get him.
Like I said before there are a bit of wicked twists to this story that will surprise you.

I can honestly say that if it had been longer and not made me wait to find out more I would have given it high praise. I absolutely hate having to wait to find out what happens next. I am also glad that these young men are not high school age, because that doesn’t really hit me.

I loved this story and would recommend reading it to all. Gorgeous werewolf, sexy little journalist, lots of attitude, feisty friends, great story line and danger all rolled up in one dynamic story.
