Blurb: At twenty-three, Dr. Liam McGregor is a well-respected astrophysicist, astrobiologist, and geologist. With no family, few friends, and no romantic prospects, he’s used to being alone. Focusing on his various scientific projects and taking care of his decidedly unusual cat help keep the loneliness at bay.

Jareth Manning is starting life over—new town, new job—after the loss of his husband. The last thing he expects is for the most absentminded, and beautiful, man he’s ever seen to take up residence in his heart. Nor did he expect to find himself a willingly humble slave to Her Imperial Highness, Empress the Cat.

But Jareth has learned that love doesn’t come around often and to hold on to it when it does. Jareth is willing to be patient if Liam is willing to take a risk after being burned before. They just have to survive Liam’s past returning.

Eight years after Liam and Jareth marry, they want a child. Things don’t go well when they try to adopt, with terrible accusations thrown at Jareth. After recovering, they proceed with a private adoption, bringing home a beautiful little girl, Carinae. Then things get ugly, endangering not only Liam’s life, but Carinae’s.

Review: I don’t normally come across a book that I wished I could give them more than five heart ratings. This story was perfect in every way. It has the perfect amount of heart, soul, love, devotion, caring, anger, pain, danger and so on. I loved the way the characters just mix together. This story just seemed to flow off the pages and straight into ones heart.

You can usually read a story and tell right off the bat weather one rights with their heart in it or not. This story is one that you can tell that the author put their entire feelings into it. It just pulls at your heart-strings with every word. It gave me everything I could want in a story. Usually I want a story to keep me entertained and over with, however this story I would have been happy if it just kept on going throughout the night.

Liam is a gorgeous and intelligent man who has absolutely no sense around him. I got such a kick with him. He is one of those young geniuses and at twenty-three is an astrophysicist, astrobiologist, and geologist. He is also the only one I could say that could get injured just walking to the door. There doesn’t have to even be a curb, piece of carpet sticking up or any other obstacle in his way to do so.

His life story is of one heart ache that will have you in fits after you learn it. He was about fifteen when his own mother stabbed him as his father sat there and watched. He was saved by the men who ran the company he worked for. They had taken him in, gave him a home and a career. On the first day he had met the new head of security he had a black eye. He had gotten hit by the door knob and was known in the local Emergency Room, from all of his accidents.

Jareth had thought at first when he met the sexy little scientist that he was being abused. It wasn’t too much time when he saw Liam’s next accident. He made it sure that everyone was to keep an eye on him and the other scientist to make sure they were safe. He had started falling for Liam from the first time he saw him, but when the dangers come for Liam he knew he was going to keep his man safe. He also knew that he would keep this man. He was absolutely in love.

This story has many different twists that I had such a blast with. It seems that you get a story of how they met and where their lives are going. Then there are two stories that follow afterwards. The second story is how they want a child and what dangers are there waiting for them both. Someone is not only set out to kill him, but to make sure they never get a child.

Then in the thirds story they are given a gorgeous little girl. But the father and grandmother of the child starts causing problems. Placing not only Liam, but the baby in danger. Not to mention Liam’s own mother is coming after him. He seems to be always in danger and Jareth is bound to keep his family safe.

What I found funny was the list of author’s that Liam loves. It was a blast of fresh air to recognize some of them. This story has some serious tones to it, but there is quite a bit of humor to it. I had such a blast reading this.

I will definitely be recommending this book. It gave me everything I could want in a story and so much more. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It gives you gorgeous men, sexy scientist, excitement, suspense, a bit of action and lots of dangers.

Review: Greg Stewartson, ex-cop, private investigator, and half-owner of Amethyst Cove Security & Investigations, meets Ash Tyler, a nurse who has met him before while on the scene of a car accident. Asks for his help finding the man he knew as his grandfather but disappeared when he was 8 years old after being released from the hospital.

With few leads to go on a missing person that has been gone for over 20 years it’s a tough job. But Greg and Ash grow closer and start seeing each other as more leads are discovered. Although this was an interesting story it does end in a cliffhanger leaving the reader wondering if the man was ever found or not.

Hot sex, as well as some interesting things come out in this story.

Good read.

Review: This title is part of the Heavy Petting 2 AmberPax collection.

It is a cute little story and I had such a blast reading it. It gave me almost everything I could want, except for at a part of it. When they were trying to get back together, it just switched and they were together for good. I would have loved for it to be more detailed and extended into a longer story.

Jacob has a slight little problem, he didn’t read the mail. It would seem that they are only allowed five animals in their homes, well he had seven. He knew he would have to call his ex, the one who had a problem with his cats. He needed advice and somehow he might get all of what he needs and desires.

It is a blast to read and I look forward to checking out the rest of Heidi’s books. There is a gift I see in her writings, I just need more to enjoy. It is a fascinating little tale of a man who loves his cats and just about every cat out there. He can never say no to a little purring.

I would recommend reading it. It will be the perfect story for a day like today. A short read that will have you falling in love.

Review: This was a cute and very sexy little story. I had such a blast reading it and look forward to more like this one. It gave me almost everything I could want except for of course length. The characters were well written and the little story about Mondays was spooky.

Brent and Mitch were together although everyone though that they were just carpooling. Although to be honest they probably suspected. After the morning round of sex and the discussion on how I hate Mondays came around, they were off to work. Soon there would be no reason not to love Mondays.

It is a cute little story that I can see reading more. I loved it and would recommend reading it. It is cute for a day when you just need a little pick me up story. Gorgeous men and the right moment is what I got from this. I had fun.

Review: A truly heartbreaking yet warm story about two men who thought they lost one another only to see each other again in the afterlife. Very emotional with drama and past regrets as Peter, who dies of cancer, and Oliver, who died 22 years before of Aids, go over the past. As well as some tearful scenes.

Well written. Great read.

Detective DeMarcus Gage of the KCPD Missing Persons Unit knows that most child abductions are perpetrated by family members or persons known to the child. True ‘stranger’ abductions are rare—and taken very seriously by the police. When eight-year-old Leticia Braden disappears from her front yard the family is ruled out as suspects but actual leads are few.

Her traumatized parents need all the support they can get, and designate Leticia’s uncle Jack Braden to be their liaison with the detectives. When he meets Jack, Gage struggles to keep his mind on the case. The two men share an immediate case of lust, which they fight to keep under control for more reasons than one. Jack’s not out of the closet, and Gage isn’t keen on sneaking around. A relationship beckons, but finding Leticia is their first priority.

Review: This is book five in the Kansas City Heat series and I would suggest you read them in order. This is a fascinating series and I had a blast reading these books. This story was no different. I can honestly say that there is nothing better than a man with a gun. This story was one of the better ones. It comes off so damn real that I swear it was like watching it.

DeMarcus has been called in for a missing seven year old girl. Everyone knows that there is a short period of time to find the girl alive so Marcus focused on her. That is until in walks her uncle Jack. Things heat up real fast with them and trying to find out who abducted Leticia. It was going great till Marcus finds out that Jack is not out to his parents. He wants to keep them a secret and that is not for Marcus. He is out and proud, doesn’t plan on going back into the closet for anyone. Now it is up to Jack to decide what he wants.

This is a truly fascinating story that has me drawn in from the start and kept my attention all the way to the end. I love Jenna’s stories and will continue to recommend reading her books. I can’t wait till she writes another one for this series. There is nothing better than a hot man with a gun, a sexy uncle, excitement, danger, suspense and some hot sex.

I loved this book and look forward to reading more by this author.

Review: This story is a bit confusing to me but it was pretty good. In fact I could see it happening. I am just not so sure what to think about it in all aspect. Kyle and Jenni have been married for a time and were now going to take a two-week vacation in Oregon.

Things are not going as well as expected though. He comes across Dustin at one of the restaurants and was taken by him. He had always known he was gay but married Jenni hoping that it would fix his attraction to men. It wasn’t working out to well for him.
Kyle and Dustin are hanging out then it soon turns to some very hot sex. That is until Jenni finds out.

Now Kyle has to make the decision to stay with Jenni and fix their marriage or divorce. He knows that he is hurting Jenni, but it is hurting him, too. Dustin seems to think time away from him might help also. To me this whole story is one screwed up mess. Although it does have some very hot scenes.

I didn’t much care for this story. I have always hated the gay guy marries the girl to hide his desires, but in the end he cheats on her and gets caught. However for him Jenni is a little better with it all in the end. I want a story that does not involve cheating and breaking up homes. I don’t much care for the gay guy who marries the girl to hide. It just seems so stupid to hide one’s self from not only the outside world but to himself.

I would recommend reading it, but for me it was just missing all my major points.

Review: First off this is a re-release story. Now I admit that this is one hell of a hot and sexy story, however it was too short for me. I have read many of Caitlin’s stories and was a bit disappointed by this one. I wanted to know more about Ben and Eli before they meet Micah. It tells of what they are wanting and how Eli was the one that was hinting at it. However to me this story should have a bit more leading up to it.

Ben and Eli had found a young woman being attacked. So they saved her, but once they got home they knew something was up. It turned out that she was in fact a man. A very young and gorgeous man whom Eli wanted with them. They had agreed that they wanted one that would stick around permanently. It took a bit for Ben to actually want what Eli but once he took a look at Micah he was turned the hell on.

Micah comes off a bit more strongly than the others to me. He is more forceful and very open with what he wants. Get these three men going and damn hot is all I can say.

It is a good story but not for me. I want more in-depth and structure then what this story gave me. It was really good for being a novella though.

I would recommend reading it though. Especially if you love a good threesome.

Review: Skylar Cates is a relatively new author to me. Having only read “Holiday Hoax” (which I found to be cute and enjoyable), I was pleasantly surprised to find that “Here for You” takes her work to another level. Well written with interesting characters best described as a family of friends, there is an extremely strong dynamic at work here.

At the nucleus of this self-made ‘family’ – Cole. What can I say about Cole? I adore him. Far from perfect yet perfectly lovable, Cole stole my heart. Yes that’s right, another unapologetic slut with a heart of gold – I didn’t stand a chance. Loved by all, and still lonely, he struggles to hold his family together in the face of a tragedy so catastrophic no one remains unscathed.

Amid the depths of despair, life must go on, things must change, and reality must prevail. It is here that Skylar Cates has shown her talent. There is such richness of story; strong and true chemistry between characters. Whether platonic or romantic, these relationships are real, they are believable, and they are inevitably a big mess. Secrets and lies of omission, unrequited love and hidden love all come to light as everyone struggles to restore some semblance of balance and normalcy to the world in which they live.

Cole endeavors to have his own life, his own love, to be happy and for his ‘family’ to be happy as well. As in life, relationships are strengthened and weakened. There is deep sorrow, angst and pain – but there is love and laughter and such zest for life, as they all begin to heal from the events that had broken them. Amid the ups and downs Cole does get his HEA, and he also gets lots of hot and heavy, sexy and steamy moments with Ian as they navigate their relationship.

“Here for You” is emotionally charged and character driven with a good balance between happiness and sorrow, the sweet and the bitter, darkness and light. Though Cole and Ian are at the forefront, there is enough transpiring between the other characters (both out in the open and behind closed doors) and enough left unresolved to leave you wondering: “What is REALLY going on with them?”, and asking “HMMM… Who’s going to get the next book”?

I can’t wait to find out.
