Blurb: The poor economy has forced Dallin to return to prostitution to avoid homelessness, but when his old pimp hooks him up with a wealthy Dom, Dallin figures it’s too good to be true. William is older, wealthy, experienced, and a complete dominant. He’s the sort of man who can go to a club and pick up a dozen subs, and yet he wants to hire Dallin.

William knows how to succeed in finance and the bedroom, but trying to keep a relationship going is a far more difficult proposition. Instead of dealing with the messy reality of the club scene or dating, he decides to hire a sub. While William would like to have a long-term relationship develop, he’s not expecting anything. However the longer he plays with Dallin, the more he realizes that he wants more.

Dallin is willing to give his body to William—he enjoys the bondage, the games and ropes and toys. He’s more wary about trusting William with his heart. William is a master of domination, but for Dallin he wants to learn to love.

Review: Due to money issues with his own business, Dallin forces himself to go back to his old pimp. Something he never thought he would have to do. Dallin gets set up as a sub for William. It was only supposed to be a business deal. As they have scenes together, their relationship takes on a more personal feel. Both men have issues that need to be worked out before they can get their happily ever after. They do have a few setbacks along the way.

Dallin was on the streets after his religious parents kicked him out for being gay at 16. Like many young men, he was alone and looked to prostitution to survive. Lucky for him he found a decent enough pimp, I guess you can call it that. A least his pimp didn’t get him into drugs or any other things you can hear about. William is a CFO for a company, and has high OCD issues. He does things his way and wanted a prostitute that would under contract to him. Dallin even gets a weekly salary, a car, and the contract has a lot of other things in it.

A very hilarious moment was when Dallin realized he was hired as William’s personal assistant, through his company, and all completely legal. He gets paid a normal check, with taxes and insurance all taken out. Oh, wow was I laughing my ass off at that one.
Everything William says makes sense, and he does not compromise. William is so logical that it’s enough to drive most people insane, Dallin included.

William also has boundary issues. He wants to fix everything in Dallin’s real life. The lines get blurred between a paid companion and a real relationship. William has a hard time connecting emotionally and wants to control everything around him. Dallin has been on his own so long and having to take care of himself that he doesn’t like it when William tries to fix things for him. The two of them have to work out their issues in order to find something that can work for them both. They have the sex down pat. It’s the rest of everything that needs work.

I liked the concept of this book. Who doesn’t like the Pretty Woman idea? This book takes it a little differently but the concept is the same. Two people from different walks of life find a way to make a relationship work. It’s definitely not a conventional start but it was a fun journey to read about. There are BDSM aspects to their relationship. The sex scenes are descriptive but there is no heavy flogging, whipping, or CBT. William is also very creative. So if you like, BDSM without the traditionally hardcore aspects, this is a good option.

All in all a good story to read from this author. There is also an absolute shocker at the end that made me laugh my ass off. I never saw it coming. But it made a weird kind of sense when you look back at the story

Blurb: Iphicles is accused of using the mate bond in order to release Zeus from his prison. Wanting Pegasus to have his freedom, Iphicles annuls the mating and then sets off to stop Aries’s armies.

Pegasus is thrilled when Iphicles agrees to be his mate, knowing the man is petrified of animals. Until he discovers that the only reason Iphicles agreed is because Iphicles must mate with him in order to fulfill his part of the prophecy to release Zeus from his prison. Pegasus’s anger overtakes him and he says things he regrets. However, before he can apologize he finds out that Iphicles has annulled the mating and has fled into the path of Aries’s armies.

Setting out to find his mate and convince him to give them a chance at a lifetime of happiness, can Pegasus find Iphicles before the armies kill his mate? And can Pegasus save his mating before it is too late?

Purchase Link: http://www.bookstrand.com/iphicles

Review: So Iphicles is the brother of Hercules and has no powers, or that most know about. He is mostly normal except for having a famous brother. He has also been bullied by some gods for years, even to the point of being left for dead. Iphicle never understood why he was treated so badly by them but he always tried to stay away from the gods in general. Due to an incident at a state farm, he was terrified of animals. So learning he has Pegasus as a mate, is hard for him to accept.

So Pegasus is a shifter, and the most powerful shifter of them all. Oh and hung like a horse even in human form *snicker*. These two have some serious misunderstandings. Because of their first one, Iphicles sets Pegasus free from their mating thinking that is what Pegasus wanted. It really wasn’t but it was too late, so Pegasus had to prove that he did want his mate. During all this, Aries has sent his son and his armies to hunt down and kill both Pegasus and Iphicles.

I like this whole arching storyline this series has going on. Each book has a mating, which is central to that labor. But there is always the overall fight of good over evil. The way Cree Storm has taken mythology and turned it to suit the stories is very creative. Also, honestly some of the gods are damn funny as they whine and overreact to situations. I really like seeing them meet their mates and have their whole world rocked.

These stories are imaginative and the sex is hot. I look forward to the next release in this series.

Review: This was the final book of the In From the Cold series. You do need to read these in order for full understanding. It’s also a part of the Pulp Friction 2014 collection. You don’t have to read the entire collection but you do get a bit more insight into all the characters as they interact in each story if you do.

Cannon has come back from Atlanta and made his decision to move permanently to Mountain Shadows. He is a little shocked at Finn’s reaction. Though Finn says he is glad he came back, he seems distant.

Finn being the knight he is has a problem he has been hiding from Cannon and all his friends at Mountain shadows. Though it’s not going as fast as he had hoped he thinks he will soon have the situation under control and be able to have a real relationship with Cannon.

When Cannon showed up in this book, I was completely flabbergasted. If you read the previous Series Chances Are, you would know that Cannon wasn’t very likeable. I won’t say that I grew to love him, but I will say he redeemed himself somewhat. I like seeing the bad person or less likeable characters grow and evolve. And of course, Finn is absolutely a dream. This was an interesting and I felt a very satisfying end to this series.

If you like charming, sexy, Nordic men, hot doctors, broken men, exciting and satisfying conclusions and of course hot and steamy man-sex this is for you!

Review: When I got this book, I wasn’t too sure what to expect. However, I was amazed by it. It wasn’t like your normal paranormal where they meet, scent their mate, and then do the deed. This one was full of humor even though Stephen was a cranky old ass. He was over seven hundred years old and did not want a mate or children.

He was happy the way he was, but in truth, he wasn’t. He had watched over time people who move in and out of the home before him. He had even remembered the small boy who tried to dig his way to China. Now twenty years after that memory, he comes back home to find a very sexy man moving in. Then his scent reached him and he knew he had found his mate. So what does he do, turns to a cougar and scares the crap out of him.

Todd knew that he wanted to return to the home he remembered. A home where his parents had once been married and he had thought happy. However, he had not expected the large cougar coming into his new home or the cougar turning into a very sexy man. Then he found out the man was the grouchy old man. Talk about a major upset and surprise. Well that wasn’t the biggest surprise to learn.

This was a story that had me on the edge of my seat. It was such a blast to read. There is nothing better than a story that has a humorous edge to it. I think the best part was the fact that this story has male pregnancy in it, which for me even makes a story better. I loved this story and can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. It caught my attention from the very start and kept it all the way to the end. It gave me everything I could want in a story. It gave me sexy men, shape shifters, cougars, excitement, surprise and passionate kisses.

I would recommend reading this story especially if you love all that and so much more.

Blurb: Nathan, Blake, and Justin are three close friends, living together in a three bedroom home in a quiet Bay Area town. For the most part, they lead relatively normal lives, although each of them possesses a special skill: Nathan can see glimpses of the future and past, Blake can read minds, and Justin can move objects by thought. They have managed to keep these abilities hidden, until a sudden incident arises that threatens their safety.

Nearly one year after their break-up, Nathan has a premonition that he will receive a call from his former boyfriend, Russell, whom he has not heard from in months. His prediction proves to be accurate, as Russell calls and asks for aid in finding his current lover, Andrew, who has mysteriously vanished. Still healing from the emotional wounds from their failed relationship, Nathan reluctantly agrees to use his psychic abilities to help Russell, against the wishes of Blake and Justin, who doubts Russell’s motives.

As Nathan delves deeper into the investigation of Andrew’s disappearance, he and his friends unwittingly becomes the target of a malevolent, relentless supernatural force that weaves itself into their minds, and releases an explosion of terror that will jeopardize their friendship, their sanity, and their lives.

Review: I liked it! Yes, the plot could use a better structure, especially the storytelling that seemed to be quite head hopping at times, but hell people Nathan and Blake rock. Justin too, but Nathan and Blake ROCK!

Okay, I got excited again. It’s a perfectly normal and expected behaviour from me when it comes to supernatural stories. I really like them and this one was quite enticing. A bit dark, a bit mysterious, keeping me on my toes with everything that happened, this story had a nice balance of smut, romance, and action.

Three supernatural men, all three gay, two of them harbour romantic feelings for each other one of them not wanting to cross the friendship boundaries while obsessing for his ex at the same time… That ex suddenly requiring help to find is present lover… Seriously, what could possibly go wrong? Even forgetting the supernatural part of this story, taking a look at the plot as it is makes you want to read and see just how much these characters will screw up.

Romance-wise I loved it. It was erotic and had the right amount of spice to make me take notice. Not overly mushy, the obsession didn’t go overboard, the scenes down memory lane made up for the small amount of sexual “action”, and overall I found what scenes there were quite hot having the perfect balance between smut and romance.

I think the entire read is more than just interesting. The only thing that would make me like it more would be a polishing up, but this is most definitely one of those stories that I’d like to keep an eye on for its next installment. Do I recommend it? Hell yeah!

Winds of Change

Lieutenants William Marshall and David Archer, of His Majesty’s frigate Calypso, have been lovers for more than a year. Because the penalty for discovery is the hangman’s noose, they limit themselves to the occasional night of passion ashore.

But in the Navy, nothing lasts forever. A transfer to a new ship brings with it a bizarre turn of events: their captain orders them to behave as though they are involved in an illicit relationship in order to smoke out a suspected traitor. When their masquerade proves dangerously effective, it threatens to cost Davy his life.

Review: An adventure on the high seas! Book two in the Royal Navy series is actually two combined stories: Winds of Change and Eye of the Storm. After fevers and kidnappings, hostages and takeovers, Davy and Will are holding their breath to see if they will be split up and sent away on separate ships for the remainder of their Royal Navy service, but as luck has it, their Captain chooses them both to serve directly under him for their next mission.

This mission is rather intriguing because they have to act as spies, and act as a couple of sailors committing illegal acts as gay lovers, sounds familiar? There’s also a bit of play in trying to ferret out the traitor on their ship, one twice the size and capacity of their previous tour, and all the fun places they can tryst while looking for him. Though the inspiration and conclusion to this story have been done before, it’s still a fun plot, lots of sailor lingo, attacks at sea, and of course, the dramatic conclusion to part one Winds of Change that leaves them separated…

Part two, Eye of the Storm, puts Davy and Will at odds with each other. Will is sent off on another mission in the Navy while Davy stays behind healing and hiding until they can entrap their traitor. England and France are at peace for a time, leaving Will without work and plenty of time to get depressed and mourn his lover, regret his choice to cut Davy off and ignore his letters, until his Captain calls him back into secret service for the Crown. He’s to sail on a private yacht to spy on France, and you can guess who is also in on this mission right? None other than a pissed off and heartbroken Davy!

Due to fear of death and loss of a powerful love, Davy and Will push and pull at each other constantly and it gets a bit tedious. There’s plenty of the, “I love him so much I fear losing him again so I’ll cut off all ties” sort of drama, and then the “he ignores me but I’ll chase him to the ends of the earth anyhow” scenario, but still…sailors…adventure…lusty men… I can’t help but say if that is what you’re looking for in this type of high seas romance, you’ll get it!

The writing is smooth, well-edited, and plenty of sailor lingo and ship terminology to add to the adventure. Throw in a little jealousy, running from the enemy, and lovemaking in unusual places and you have a very entertaining and lusty read.

Determined to find Michel again, Kristopher has to trust the stranger and hope he is not connected to those searching for him and the information he carries. Review: I did not read the first book in this series, but that seems not to have been a problem as this one was thoroughly engrossing and a fine read. It is a meticulously crafted love and adventure story set in the waning months of World War II as the Allies are months from overcoming the Third Reich. The characters are soldiers and scientists from all over Europe and elsewhere.

• Kristofer “Kit,” with his charming name and nickname, is a nuclear scientist anxious to escape with the plans for an atomic bomb, a loyal German who simply does not want the Nazis to get a hold of the weapon.
• Michel is a French Resistance fighter whose work to protect the plans for the bomb is complicated by his love for Kit and feeling the need to protect him.
• Matt is an American soldier sent to locate the plans and retrieve them for the Allies. He has nightmares about his house burning down and his family all being killed.
• Ken is a soldier traveling with Matt who is also in love with him.
• Liang is a British scientist with a Chinese father.
• Leo is a New Zealander RAF pilot who is shot down in the Black Forest.

Then there are several SS officers, a collection of women who are related to or in love with our boys, and several other people, from a young boy to a Resistance doctor. Who step in either to help or screw up the four main characters’ mission.

If I have any complaint, it is the names. Kit and Ken. Matt and Max are just too close to keep track of, especially if one reads with one’s ears, as do I. Luckily the women all have longer more diverse names and the Nazis are similarly disparately named. Thank heavens for Leo, is all I can say.

This is a wonderfully choreographed novel, nothing out-of-place, nothing wasted, and extremely entertaining and suspenseful. The characters are distinct, in spite of the names, and one cares for them and wants them to survive and succeed. It sounded to me like the time and places were all right on. The racial diversity of the group is certainly credible if a tad forced.

The dialogue is affecting and realistic, all well done.

The reference to a “winter duet” is both clever and inventive and gives one an idea of the contents of a sequel.

And the good guys and bad guys all have white and black hats firmly affixed to the tops of their heads. Though as far as I am concerned, Leo is the real hero.

Review: A refreshing adventure up into the land of Machu Picchu! I love it when a book can put me into another place and give me a new viewpoint and The Path did a great job at this. I imagined myself in a new profession, that of climber and Peruvian trail guide, up into the sacred and ancient ruins of the Inca civilization.

The challenge, the beauty, the grandeur, and the danger were all the perfect setting for a budding romance between Benicio and his more experienced trail guide partner Alberto. They first learn each other’s strengths, build a strong partnership, enjoy each other’s beauty and then let that chemistry build into not only a strong partnership but a beautiful love.

The dangers of the trail seem to parallel the dangers of their budding relationship; while the threats to their life and well-being are always present, they can’t help but admire and enjoy the beauty. And in a society where their kind of love is not accepted, it’s good to see there are some people who see only the more important things like trust, love, and lifelong commitments.

It was a fun journey to the top and back again with a few different groups for Alberto and Benicio to guide, some less fun, but many like a gay couple that came back ten years later to celebrate their honeymoon with reunited friends, show Alberto and Benicio what can be possible if they give their love a chance.

There’s plenty of excitement, including a life or death fight with the weather and the landscape, fearing family acceptance, so many wonderful vignettes woven into this story! I would love to trek up to Machu Picchu myself some day and would love a Bene and Al as my trail guides! Grab this book and take a trip to a beautiful place.

Such pity that the dear Detective assigned to enforce supernatural and paranormal cases in Quebec would be chosen by this particular demon.

Another drag, another puff. Relishing the new image of a chained Raven; withering in pleasure on Bla’Gar’s Hellfire bed.

Knowing the young man is probably the mate of a Lycan he calls around and finds out its Bruce, the Chetlér pack’s beta that is the young man’s mate. He heads to Freshán Chetlér’s, a demon and the commander of the Lycan’s to investigate.

Interesting story with great details of the commander’s home. It was surprising that a demon was the protector of the pack due to members of the pack being taken and experimented on. Freshán is very attracted to Raven and vice versa. After they have dinner there is a hot and steamy intimate scene then Freshán demands that he leaves as he’s having trouble keeping control of him demon half.

Great read.

Review: After inheriting money and a place his grandmother left to him, Troy Marlowe leaves home to attend college at USC. He also accepts a job as a stripper at a private gentleman’s club. His friend and coworker Cary offers him a job at his business and he gladly accepts due to not wanting be home as someone has been in his home without his knowledge.

Deacon Landry has been in the army and now owns his own security business. The first time he sees a picture of the beautiful Troy Marlowe he knows he wants him but doesn’t have the nerve to approach the young man. He talks to his best friend and Troy’s boss, Miles about Troy. After finding out that someone is stalking Troy, Deacon does his best to protect him at all costs.

This was a well-written book with mystery, passion, murder, and drama. Three young men have been murdered and the FBI takes the case. When all three victims have similarities in common with Troy the case takes a strange twist, as it comes out that Deacon has been with them all.

I loved how this story unfolded with just the right amount of information to keep the reader wanting to know more but not letting on completely as to the reasons why the three young men were killed or how Troy and Deacon are involved. The intimate scenes between Deacon and Troy were hot and passionate. Great read. Can’t wait to see what the author has in store for the next book in the series.

Review: Way too short of a story, more like a teaser, Beware the Werebear is the kind of erotic story where you know what you’ll get right from the blurb. Pure hot paranormal porn.

There are many things hinting to kink though this story didn’t quite manage to explore them. I’m only guessing the next installments will, at some point. As it is this was all about the first meeting between two possible mates, the suck and fuck greeting that comes from awakening from hibernation (literal sexual hibernation in the bear’s case), and the rawness that come when one is hungry for a whole season, if you catch my meaning.

Comparing this short with other erotica out there one might tell me that I’ve rated it too high, but let’s face it people, this is a bear and a coyote we’re talking about. The bear even bites. There is blood involved and the heat level gets high and high. There was absolutely no way I wouldn’t like this.

As for you beware; this is really short and has many more installments waiting out there that follow this hungry (for sex and food) bear. During his summer cycle, this guy turns really chubby 😉

Cole asks Sloan for help but makes him promise not to include Trent in the rescue attempt.

Trent considers the opportunity to resume a career cut short, and despite Sloan’s threat to postpone the wedding, he leaves for the Middle East as an independent mercenary while Sloan rushes to aid Cole.

In Tokyo, disturbing revelations draw the former couple together, and old feelings are rekindled. Despite this new understanding, neither man makes a move.  Sloan is focused on rescuing Cole’s family without jeopardizing his relationship with Trent, while Cole must prepare himself to survive disappointment if Sloan chooses to segue into married life as a military spouse.

Adam Fischer doesn’t believe in second chances. Heartbroken after his lover Charlie leaves him to chase his music career in L.A., Adam is convinced that meaningless one-night-stands are all life has in store for him.

Until fate drops Penn Shields in his lap.

Penn is a young, talented designer fresh out of college who has just landed his dream job as a wardrobe assistant in Queen Victoria theatre, where Adam is performing in a popular musical.

He’s also Charlie’s brother.

The last thing Penn wants is to follow in his brother’s footsteps, especially since they haven’t spoken in years. However, the attraction he feels for Adam grows with each day, and soon resisting it proves to be futile.

As Adam and Penn get to know each other intimately, they both realise that first impressions may be deceiving, and that, sometimes, second chances come in the same packaging.
