Review: This book was so good it had me holding my breath at times. Drew Golding finally leaves his hateful controlling momma’s grasp early one morning to warn deputy Grady that his mother has evil intentions planned for Riley, Noah and Kai. After talking to them all, he asks if he can stay at the Triple H to help protect them all from his mother’s wrath. While there, he gets close to Chase Williams, who was his best friend until his mother made him stop.
Chase Williams is a sweet, smart handsome man who many say is retarded. Which he is not. After losing his mother Drew becomes his rock and shoulder to lean on in his time of need. When Chase finds a dead body on the Triple H, it’s Drew who comforts him. Both have feelings for the other it’s just a matter of time before they act on them.
A crazy mother with evil intentions, a vicious and brutal murder by a killer, and a man trying to prove to everyone that he’s changed from the way he was, made for a stunningly amazing story. Filled with drama, action, suspense, and mystery. So much happens throughout that it’s impossible to put it all in this review. Wonderfully written details and scenes that sometimes made me mad, cringe, laugh, and smile. The intimate scenes between Drew and Chase were sexy and hot.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone. I would suggest reading When Souls Collide, Book 1, first though as I did not, but I’m most certainly going to, and was confused at first as this book makes references to things that happened in the first book. I can’t wait until the next book comes out to see what happens next in the wonderful series, fantastic read.
