Review: This book was so good it had me holding my breath at times. Drew Golding finally leaves his hateful controlling momma’s grasp early one morning to warn deputy Grady that his mother has evil intentions planned for Riley, Noah and Kai. After talking to them all, he asks if he can stay at the Triple H to help protect them all from his mother’s wrath. While there, he gets close to Chase Williams, who was his best friend until his mother made him stop.

Chase Williams is a sweet, smart handsome man who many say is retarded. Which he is not. After losing his mother Drew becomes his rock and shoulder to lean on in his time of need. When Chase finds a dead body on the Triple H, it’s Drew who comforts him. Both have feelings for the other it’s just a matter of time before they act on them.

A crazy mother with evil intentions, a vicious and brutal murder by a killer, and a man trying to prove to everyone that he’s changed from the way he was, made for a stunningly amazing story. Filled with drama, action, suspense, and mystery. So much happens throughout that it’s impossible to put it all in this review. Wonderfully written details and scenes that sometimes made me mad, cringe, laugh, and smile. The intimate scenes between Drew and Chase were sexy and hot.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone. I would suggest reading When Souls Collide, Book 1, first though as I did not, but I’m most certainly going to, and was confused at first as this book makes references to things that happened in the first book. I can’t wait until the next book comes out to see what happens next in the wonderful series, fantastic read.

Review: Cord has just turned twenty-one and is in need of a job. So the Doctor Moroney next door hires him for odd jobs. One day he asks Cord to look after things as he has to leave to visit his sick sister and doesn’t know how long he will be gone. After at least a week Cord gets curious as to what is in the basement. He finds under a sheet that the doctor has combined human and mechanical parts to make a robot or humanoid and he activates it.

Interesting story about a creation who was promised a mate and wants Cord upon its activation. Frank and Cord have some hot sex. Cord is very happy when the Doctor tells him he has to stay another week at his sisters.

Blurb: Chris has hung around the Demon Warriors, trying to emulate them, for one hundred years. He’s in awe of these magnificent warriors but has eyes for only one of them.
Hondo is as thickheaded as they come. Everyone around him can see how Chris feels about the big, bad warrior—everyone except Hondo.

When bizarre occurrences keep taking place in the demon realm, Chris is ready for action, rushing in where wise men fear to tread. Can Hondo keep Chris from running into a battle he may not survive, and can Hondo set aside their friendship and become a lover to the little demon who worships the very ground he walks on?

Review: Each book in Lynn Hagen’s Demon Warrior collection features a different romantic trio. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. The very first time I came across Lynn was with the first book in the Brac Pack and I was captivated from then on. These particular characters were actually first introduced in the Zeus Pack collection, which in turn were first introduced with the Brac Pack Collection. There is around six or seven different series that was actually branched off like this.

I fell in love with her books and continue to look for them. I absolutely love the Demon Warrior series. Most times one would think that demons were evil, but once you start reading them you will fall in love. That is the way it is for me anyway.

Chris is a little demon that hangs out with the demon warriors, but his main reason was because he had the hots for Hondo. He didn’t think Hondo would ever notice. The thing with demon’s the only way they find their mate is through sex. Now can you imagine the first time this feisty young demon’s face when he finally gets around to getting what he wants. Well then, imagine Hondo’s expression when this feisty and sexy man is his mate. Talk about a change of the world around him. Hondo is extremely possessive, jealous, and getting on Chris’s nerves. However a demon will do everything, he can to protect his mate.

I loved this book and can’t wait to get started reading book two. They give you sexy demons, hot sex, passion and fire, surprise’s, lots of action, big bad demons getting their asses kicked, and danger surrounding them. I would recommend reading this especially if you love all of the above and so much more. It captured my attention when I opened the book and kept it all the way to the end.

Lynn always knows the way to a woman’s heart is with two sexy demons who not only fight to keep each other alive, but fight period just to have the hot makeup sex in the end.

Blurb: Hera and Aries have taken over Olympus. The other Gods have one chance to free Zeus, however, in order to do so the other Gods must be willing to sacrifice their freedom for his. Twelve keys will release Zeus from Icarus and those keys are each a mate to the chosen ones and the stones will lead the way. Each obstacle is a labor Hercules is all too familiar with. Can they succeed before their time runs out or are they all doomed?

When Stephan finds out he is the mate of Perseus, Son of Zeus, and the reason that a deadly disease has been unleashed, killing people all around him, in order to get to him, Stephan is more determined to stop it at all costs…even if it means his own life. Working together, can they stop it before it is too late? Or will Stephan have to die for others to live?

Review: Stephen and his best friend Deb are working hard to find a cure for a strange illness affecting several people. They are getting nowhere until Perseus and Apollo show up and figure out they were bitten by something. Working together, they try to put the clues together and stop it before it gets worse. Along the way, Perseus and Stephen fall in love. But things do not go smoothly at first.

I loved Stephen. He is a genius that few people, except Deb really understand. He is also very caring for others and works himself to the bone to help his patients. He is also very bossy and a little over the top at times. When he learns that the Greek gods are real, he doesn’t believe it at first until he is shown proof. But even knowing they are gods he is so not afraid to put them in their place if he feels they are wrong. Loved it when he did that to a few of them.

Perseus is a little different from the other gods. He has no powers even though he is a demigod. The only things he has are his gifts that have been given to him by others. He also does not really go to Olympus since many would put him down or ignore him altogether. He makes most of his friends among humans who don’t know who he really is. But he is so happy when he meets Stephen. He has no problem with Stephen being so smart, in fact, Perseus loves it. It even makes Perseus hot when Stephen gets all bossy on everyone. The two have their ups and downs but the love does win out. Along the way, more secrets are revealed about Stephen and what Hera and Aries are up to.

This is a very unique take on the classic Greek pantheon. It will be very interesting to see the directions this series takes going forward. I like how the author has taken classic myths and rewritten them for current use. I look forward to reading more.

REVIEW: Lindsey is a psychic who also works admin at Cirque Caprice. Alan and Jules are playboys; they sleep with each other and often seek out a third partner to spend the night with. It’s clear that Alan and Jules are soon serious about being with Lindsey when she gives in to their persistent flirting.

What I found interesting, though it was only mentioned in passing, Lindsey is an average woman in terms of build/weight. She’s not stick-thin and she’s not a Barbie doll. That’s immediately a good sign for me. Lindsey is sweet and shy, but underneath that, she’s also adventurous. Which is why she gives in to Alan and Jules; these guys know what they want. They’re as driven with their acrobatic act (they have kinetic powers) as they are to be with her.

However, most of the focus of this story is on Lindsey, so we don’t get to learn too much about the guys. I think this is unfortunate because without that detail I feel there is a lack of spark between the guys and Lindsey, despite the fact you can sense the spark between Jules and Alan.

Blurb: Weber Yates’s dreams of stardom are about to be reduced to a ranch hand’s job in Texas, and his one relationship is with a guy so far out of his league he might as well be on the moon. Or at least in San Francisco, where Weber stops to see him one last time before settling down to the humble, lonely life he figures a frog like him has coming.

Cyrus Benning is a successful neurosurgeon, so details are never lost on him. He spotted the prince in a broken-down bull rider’s clothing from day one. But watching Weber walk out on him keeps getting harder, and he’s not sure how much more his heart can take. Now Cyrus has one last chance to prove to Weber that it’s not Weber’s job that makes him Cyrus’s perfect man, its Weber himself. With the help of his sister’s newly broken family, he’s ready to show Weber that the home the man’s been searching for has always been right there, with him.

Cyrus might have laid down an ultimatum once, but now it’s turned into a vow-he’s never going to let Weber out of his life again.

Review: This is sort of like the Prince and the Frog, for adults, with sweaty naked man sex, and Mary Calmes utterly mind-blowing style of writing.

Weber Yates is cowboy from head to toe. The former bull rider has no family to speak of and the one man he could see himself settling down for is too damn good for him, at least, that is what Weber constantly tells himself. Problem is, that man, Cyrus Benning, has a completely different outlook on their lives. Cyrus is a successful neurosurgeon that is always oh so serious, never really smiles, doesn’t make a lot of friends.

But he is different when Weber is around. Weber brings out a side of Cyrus that no one else can. He makes him laugh, smile, love and long… long for his prince to pull his head out of his ass and realize what is staring him in the face.

When Weber comes to see Cyrus while travelling to his next job, Cyrus decides right then that he is going to do whatever it takes to ensure that Weber never leaves him again. It helps when Cyrus’s sister needs Weber’s help, and Weber feels compelled to stay and see it through. But always in the back of Weber’s mind is that he will leave when the job is done. Can Cyrus show Weber that he is not the frog he perceives himself to be? Can a rich, successful surgeon and a poor, humble cowboy make a life together and still be happy with the end result?

Oh but I loved this book! The writing, characters and scenarios are very reminiscent of the Matter of Time series by Calmes, which is the best M/M series in print. Weber is just a good ole boy who needs to be shown how important he is. Cyrus longs for companionship and a partner that will be his equal. Together, they balance each other out and make each other so happy, Weber just has to find his own self-worth and figure out that he can love Cyrus, be with him and still be himself.

Narrated by KC Kelly, who has a knack at bringing out the personality of the characters in a story. I always knew exactly who I was with at any given time. Whether it was that deep country drawl of Weber’s that could crawl up Cyrus’s spine, seductive and comforting all at once. Or the straight-laced, sometimes uptight tones Cyrus carried, but showing the ability to just let go when Weber was around. There are few narrators that can capture the nuances and tones of two men in the throes of passion, and Kelly is definitely one of them, like… I needed a cold shower after certain scenes they were so well conveyed.

A must read for fans of Calmes stories, but there is that element of a guy that has to work for what he wants, and learning yourself worth in this story as well. Engaging, romantic, sexy, passionate and just a well written, well told story.

Blurb: Avery Watterson lived life by his own terms not caring who he hurt in the process. Faced with an unknown enemy, Avery finds himself running, running toward the one person he knows won’t be happy to see him, but what other choice does he have?

New town, new school, has Landen Halliwell on a high, yet something seems to be missing from this perfect new life. A chance encounter shows Landen exactly what that is, a mate. Avery wasn’t what Landen expected in a mate but his gorgeous looks and cocksure attitude leave Landen weak in the knees and wanting to spend more time with the man.

Secrets always have a way of surfacing and Avery can’t run from them anymore. His stalker draws near and Avery doesn’t know what to do. Running this time around isn’t an option but can he really stay and risk those he loves?

Purchase Link: http://www.bookstrand.com/for-the-love-of-his-mate

Review: Landen was raised by humans who adopted him. Even after they discovered he was a wolf shifter they still loved and protected him. He has now joined the Nehalem pack after meeting a member at his former college. There he meets his mate Avery. Their first meeting was not the best. Avery was drunk and parked in a friend’s front yard, who also happened to be Avery’s older brother.

Landen assumed the man is an alcoholic, even if he is pretty. But still the mate bond draws him closer to Avery. When they finally get together, Landen learns the real Avery and everything he has done, and still accepts and loves him as his mate.

Avery has dropped out of school, been cut off by his parents, and has a stalker. He uses drugs, alcohol, and sex to hide behind. Now he was in the same town as his brother asking for help. His brother-in-law gets him into the same house Landen lives in. His attraction to Landen is intense and something Avery has never felt before.

So he goes after Landen and starts a relationship with him. He even gets a job at the local cafe. He wants to prove to both his brother and Landen that he is not a screw up. Things start looking up for Avery. He has a mate that he loves, he has made up with his brother, and he has a steady job. Then his stalker comes back.

I loved this story. Landen was adorable and very accepting of Avery’s past. As for Avery, he did what he could to make a relationship with his brother work and apologized for past hurts. I loved the way Avery was with Landen. Even though Avery never really had a relationship before, he jumped in with both feet with Landen.
A very good entry in the series.

Review: Blaine rents a cabin on Feathercreek Mountain for a week’s vacation with his boyfriend Stryker. When he’s told about the ghost of the owner’s dad, Brent Blandiford, who was killed in an avalanche, haunts the cabin, he doesn’t believe it. After they arrive and settle in Blaine sprains his ankle while they’re out looking around. The next day Blaine stays in and implores Stryker to have fun and that he’d see him later. Waking up from a nap, he feels a presence who gives him a warning about an avalanche that is going to happen in the area Stryker went to.

Great short story with just the right amount of mystery in it about the ghost. The scenery descriptions were breathtaking. The conversation with the ghost about the warning was fascinating and horrifying at what might have happened had Blaine not heeded the warning and went after his boyfriend to warn him.

The sex between Blaine and Stryker was hot.

Review: Book 3 in the Scar Series comes to introduce us Cam and Seth, tow character that will challenge your patience for sure. Cam is a highly abused character nearly from all the adults in his life. Few are the exception and it makes me wonder how he managed to maintain some semblance of rationality. There were times this char had me trembling with love and there were times when I totally hated him, but what you probably want to know you already figured out; this character definitely enticed the heck out of me.

As for Seth, he was a weird one. At the beginning of the story, I almost mistook him for a sub the way he kept clinging to Cam like that. He is definitely the type I couldn’t handle and time and again during the read, he made me want to skip. Not a favourite of mine I’m afraid. But I suppose if he wasn’t so persistent, he wouldn’t have won the final prize 😉

The story is told in double PoV. I don’t know how I feel about it. On one hand it was good to be in both Cam’s and Seth’s head. However, I strongly believe it eventually ended up damaging the story, stealing too much anticipation and tension from the plot. We were left with a story with too many details, with no mystery, and whatever intensity was born was immediately extinguished in the next chapter when the other MC’s PoV came and shed light. It also made the entire story a bit heavy on the emotional side and that certainly is not one of my favs.

Other than that, I was expecting a BDSM story, since everything hinted that’s what it would be, what with Seth being a Dom and the owner of a BDSM club. But, I ended up having a completely vanilla story in my hands (except for a kinky fantasy aka one scene). Completely devoid of anything related with the lifestyle, not fetishes, nothing. And I’ll admit I was left speechless with how soft core the erotic part of this story was.

By the time the ending of the book came, I was left feeling that too many things were lacking and left undisclosed which played a big part in my rating of this book. Nevertheless, I did like the story, even the emotional side of it and recommend it to fans of the genre.

Review: This is a fascinating start to a new series and I was amazed with it. I had a blast reading it and cannot wait to get my hands on book two. There is nothing better than a sexy man in a uniform. You have two gorgeous and sexy men who don’t mind a bit of role-play it would seem. There is a hint of kink between these two men. Finn’s parents were murdered several years ago and their son’s wanted justice.

They knew that their father was the best cop around but someone had smeared his name badly. Now all three of his sons followed in his footsteps not only because it was something all of the Callaghan’s had done in the past, but to also find out who murdered their parents and to find the one that was truly guilty of the crimes. Finn had just graduated and was now a rookie police officer. Damn did he look good in blue.

Michael was a detective who right at this moment was trying to catch the man behind the sex slavery of young boys, prostitution, and murder. He knew after the last raid that he needed a man inside. It would help if that man looked like a teen instead of an adult but he also needed to be a police officer. When he first saw Finn, he was turned the hell on and wanted him for himself. There were several things holding him back one was the fact that he wasn’t completely out to everyone including his parents. However the further this case went on the more he wanted Finn safe and in his bed.

This was a fascinating story and I had a blast reading it. It was told with what seemed to me was with perfection. I loved the perfect tone that this particular story had. It was a serious tone but did have just a hint, and I do mean a hint of humor. This is where the older brothers come in. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a story. It was perfect to me. I loved it and cannot wait to get my hands on book two.

I would recommend reading this story especially if you love sexy men, men in uniforms who carry guns, excitement, violence, danger, criminal activities, and lots of passion. Not to mention some hot sex.

Review: This was one hell of a good anthology. It will give you sexy men, one ménage, criminal enterprises, hot sex and so much more than that. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. At first when I noticed how many pages it was I thought that I would be reading all night long, but the stories were a blessing and the time went by so fast while reading stories that I loved.

Triple Cross by Hank Edwards ♥♥♥♥♥5Hearts
Morgan, Derren and Wade are a piece of work. Morgan and his best friend Sophia had agreed when Sophia noticed him that he would split the money from a heist he wanted to do. All she had to do was create a diversion. Well that diversion was to dance with a sexy man who had hots for Morgan.

Then a night full of sex between Morgan and Derren ended up with Derren still the jewels. Now if that isn’t a blast, then wait for the detective who seems to be in a bit of trouble, here he is investigating the theft and has the hots for one of the suspects. Oh now this is where it gets even better. However, you need to read it to find out, because I am not giving you the secrets of a jewel heist that could make millions.

This was one hot story and I don’t just mean the theft of millions of dollars worth of jewels. It not only gives you two men but three hot sexy men, ménage, hot sex full of passion and fire, excitement, adventure, mystery, suspense and so much more. It was amazing and I would recommend reading this story. It gave me everything I could want in a story and so much more.

The Saga of Einar and Gisli by Jeff Mann ♥♥♥♥♥4.5Hearts
When they were younger Einar and Gisli had a bit of fun, that is until they came back home. Then Gisli not only denied him but also slandered him. He was betrayed by the man he loved. Then several years later his uncle wanted him to find Gisli and bring him back to be killed. It was said that he had killed his wife’s husband. However, they are in for many surprises, one includes that they still love each other.

This story was written in a time that I would not normally care about. I am not much for historical romance, because there is something always missing. However, Einar and Gisli were a blast to read about. There is the danger of course not only from traveling but also from others who want them dead, excitement, kinky sex, passion and fire and happily ever after. I would recommend reading it. It will give you an enjoying time.
Roy and Sundance by Dale Chase ♥♥2Hearts
This story is written when the Sundance Kid was robbing banks. Roy had the hots for Sundance but Sundance wanted a woman. Although when they are on the run from the law it would seem Roy was what Sundance wanted.

This story was just missing something to me. I grew up on hearing about the Sundance Kid but this is way stranger than that. I can’t stand that Roy gave his heart to a man who wanted a woman in the end. It was a very sad story that I just wasn’t too sure what to think. It actually left me with more questions than answers at the end.

However, it was very hot. I would recommend reading this if you love the times in the 1800‘s, to be more precise though it was 1901. If you love cowboys, westerns, bank robbers, danger, sexy men, excitement and suspense than this one would be for you. It just wasn’t for me though.

This was a wonderful anthology and I was quite surprised by it. It gave me everything I could possibly want and a bit more. I had a blast reading it and can’t wait for more by these amazing authors.

I would recommend reading it especially if you love bad boys, ménages, excitement, adventure, action and so much more. It was amazing and I had a blast reading it.

Review: Lynn Hagen has written another story that I can’t wait to add to my favorite list. The characters are written with such flare and love that there is no way you won’t want to read it more than once. I love the way they all mix together, but how they are so protective of those that they care about and love. Also, the betrayal one feels when someone you thought was a friend was in fact working for the wrong side.

Lacee had a bit of a problem. He was a human who owned a strip club in the middle of the paranormal. He had a paranormal detective questioning him about the two dead bodies behind his club, and seemed to want to make him his pet. Then he had a vampire elder who wanted more from him then he was willing to give. After a bit of danger from the head vampire Marcus he had to be changed in to a fur ball to save his life.

Nate was the KGI detective looking into the dead bodies behind the Blue Moon strip club and also into Lacee. Now he might just want a bit more from Lacee than he should but there was just something about him that had Nate tied in knots.

This story was a blast to read. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to read more about this wonderful world. A world that I lost myself into for a short period of time. It gave me everything I could possibly want in a story. It gave me sexy men, werewolves, vampires, drag queens, feisty friends, quirky brothers, excitement, suspense, danger, and lots of hot sex. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end.

I loved it and hope that this was the start to another amazing series. I would recommend reading it if you love all of that and so much more.
