Blurb: Michael Brooks has it all mapped out. The market is ripe for him to flip a few houses to supplement his income as an un-tenured professor at the local college. His plan takes a detour, however, when he finds a two-story Colonial perfect for a Bed & Breakfast—with a ghost who wears denim.
Deputy Colin Jefferson is a hometown boy who made good. As a member of the local police force, he serves the community he loves. He’s heard stories about the Taylor Mansion ghost all his life. Maybe he’s even seen it a time or two, he admits to himself, if he truly believed in that sort of thing.
But now Colin has to believe when the ghost pays a visit and Michael asks for his help. Will the men be able to solve the mansion’s ghost problem even as they’re driven into each other’s arms, not out of fear, but out of intense mutual desire?
Review: This book was amazing and a blast to read. I love the humor that is found but also the sadness was compelling. The sad part was about the ghost that lived in the home. A home that Michael bought as an investment. He was a professor at the local college, he had decided to make a bit of extra cash by buying, and flipping homes. But when he came across this gorgeous Colonial two-story he was captivated. What fascinated him more was the story of it being haunted.
Michael had got the house for a great price and knew what he wanted. He wanted to fix it and turn it into a bed and breakfast. He also wanted the man he met the night before. A deputy that was sexy as sin. He had thought they would get very lucky that is until Colin got called away on a call. Now he has a home to fix and a story to undercover. Well that is until he sees the young man in denim jeans standing in the house.
Colin knew about the stories of the man in denim, but he didn’t really believe. That is until Michael tells him that he has actually talked to the ghost. A ghost by the name of Robin. Colin agrees to help him find away to help Robin move on. He also wants more than a few nights with Michael. He wants a life with the man that he has fallen in love with.
This story was amazing but it left me hanging. I sure do hope there is another story after this because I want to hear more about Colin and Michael as well as find out if Robin ever gets to go home. I love a good romance and when you add in a bit of paranormal, I am usually the first to grab it. So this is probably the third book that I have read where a ghost is involved and I have got to tell you that if they keep writing stories like this then I am sold.
I would recommend reading this story especially if you love two sexy men, a man in uniform, ghost, excitement, adventure and a bit of a mystery. I cannot wait to read more by these two amazing authors.
