Blurb: Cadet Dustin Ezerus is thrilled when he learns that his hero, intergalactic ambassador Praex Gallilu, is passing through the quadrant. Better yet, he’s stopping at the academy to offer a lecture and accept an honorary degree. Dustin wastes no time in getting himself appointed to show Ambassador Gallilu around. If things work out the way he hopes, he’ll be showing their distinguished guest more than just the academy’s architectural features.

What he has in mind involves a much more intimate introduction to the student body…or at least one body in particular!

Review: This is book two in this series and they should be read in order. It gives you an insight into their amazing world and the reason for why they do the things they do. I thought that this was a very good short story however I for one wished it was longer. It would have made an excellent story if it had been. I would love to know what happens when Dustin graduates and starts his career.

Dustin is a star cadet and has been fascinated by his hero. He had read about him from schoolbooks, learned about him from his older brother and just tried to learn as much as he could about Intergalactic Ambassador Praex. He had always wanted to meet him, well he wanted to do more to the man then just meet him but those are dreams or so he thought. He was asked by his teacher to be Praex’s assistant while he was there. His dreams didn’t even begin to be what he expected. Praex’s was gorgeous and very sexy. Praex’s also wanted him just as much as he wanted him.

This was a cute short story and I wanted to read more. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next story. It shows me it has great expectations. I can tell that it will be a great series.

I would recommend reading it especially if you love paranormal, aliens, futuristic, sexy men, excitement, and adventure.

Blurb: Brenton Tyler never intended to fall in love with his co-worker, TV weatherman Spencer Allen. And he certainly never planned to say those three little words so quickly. But, now that he’s done both, things start to look a little cloudy. Instead of saying “I love you” back to Brenton, Spencer ends things, informing Brenton that he’s leaving town for a better job in a bigger city.

When a blizzard traps both men at the television station overnight, one last tryst together makes things even more complicated and leaves Brenton with a tough choice. Should he let the man he loves breeze out of his life forever, or should he hold onto the hope that they can weather the storm and get back to sunny skies?

Review: This title is part of the Winter Games AmberPax Collection. They can be read as a standalone story. For me the story was too short and missed something for me to truly love it. I wished that it had told about when they had come together, but I understood it after reading it.

Spencer and Brenton worked together and had been seeing each other for just a few months. Then Spencer had decided to take another job in Chicago and knew leaving would be hard.
Brenton was in love with Spencer and had planned on telling him. However, he ends up with a bigger surprise for Spencer is moving to another state. Brenton didn’t get the “I love you” back from him, just a broken heart. Can Spencer fix it before time runs out or will he leave the man he has fallen in love with.

I thought it was a really cute little story and look forward to reading more in this collection. I was not too happy with the way Spencer handled it, but did love the way the ending came out. It made for a nice story to read right before bedtime though. It was really written well and the way it turned out was great. Heidi has a gift at giving you a story that seems like it happens in real life. She brings it out just the way a relationship would work.

I loved the characters although I love Brenton more. Spencer did surprise me in the end.

Review: Cal and Rhys gave up their lives in New York to move to Boston and start over after Rhys was blacklisted by a fellow chef at his former job. Cal would do anything to make Rhys happy, so it was a no brainer for him when the opportunity to open a restaurant for Rhys in Reading MA presented itself to them. Rhys, however, wasn’t nearly as enthralled with the idea of pulling up roots and leaving their family and friends behind.

What was supposed to be a fresh start for them, starting a new life and a new joint business venture winds up being more of a curse than a blessing. Cal has to devote a lot of time to remodelling and working on getting the restaurant ready to open, while Rhys is left home, alone. The relationship suffers as a result. Cal has to admit to himself that he has in fact been a little bit selfish, uprooting their lives and relocating them here all in an effort to make life better for Rhys, only making life harder with the separation. Rhys has to realize that sometimes in life you have to make changes and sacrifices to reach a larger goal.

This was just a sugary sweet, sexy read about sacrifice, change and moving forward, together. Cal not only has to contend with his own self-doubt that is only squashed by his need to get the restaurant open and ready. He loves Rhys more than anything. But, he’s so focused on the big picture, he misses a few little portraits along the way. And Rhys doesn’t adjust well, going from a life full of friends and family in New York where he and Cal spent a lot of quality time together to the loneliness he feels everyday in Boston. He lashes out at the only person there to listen, Cal.

It was interesting to see the way they balanced things in their relationship. In the beginning, it was almost as if they fought just so they could have make up sex, but that was the jest of their time together. The story was a little repetitive at times, with Cal having to constantly repeat his intentions, but overall it was a fun read. And the ending left a huge smile on my face.

If you are looking for something fun and romantic with lots of steamy sex and a very happy ending, this is definitely the short story for you!

Mickey O’Leary can barely think, he’s so exhausted. Working three jobs to help pay his brother’s hospital bills keeps him going and helps him forget about how lonely he is. Mickey would like to meet a nice guy who won’t run at the first hint of Mickey’s problems.

Georgia Knights

by

Julia Talbot

When anthropologist Georgia Cortez heads to rural Georgia from New Mexico, she’s on the trail of a juicy old legend. Haley Falls seems like just the place for old-time ghost stories and spooky hauntings, but she’s on the hunt for something far rarer, a survival of an old sect of medieval knights.

Caid and Alton are Haley Fall natives, and they used to be best friends. A falling out years ago ended in them not speaking, even after Alt left town and returned older, if not wiser. They unite when it comes to a nosy scholar like Georgia picking apart their heritage, and putting their whole town in danger. When boys meet girl, though, they decide wooing is far better than scaring the lady off, and they set about distracting Georgia in the best way.

While their three way romance heats up, so does the intrigue in Haley Falls, until the three of them are facing a danger far worse than falling in love with each other.
