Blurb: After six years of romance and kink, Jesse Ross and Will Anderson have had their ups and downs and come through them stronger and happier. But when Jesse’s mother dies unexpectedly, Jesse is forced to return to his childhood home in Georgia to help his family cope. Will transfers from Seattle to his company’s Atlanta office, but love their way is out of the question while they’re staying in Jesse’s parents’ home. So Will buys a small house for them to fix up and find some privacy.

When their lives start to settle back into something like normality, Will and Jesse resume their recently neglected BDSM relationship. Along with the security of Jesse’s submission comes trouble, as a local man tries to lure a lonely, grieving Jesse away from Will, and one of Will’s co-workers causes tension between them. Both men are forced to reassess what really matters, and where their romance is heading next.

Review: Anna Martin has certainly pulled it off, again, with her third installment in the Another Way series, To Say I Love You. I didn’t think I could love the guys any more than I already did, but I was wrong. This is not a standalone book, in case you are new, to this series. Many twist and turns have taken place to get us, Will and Jesse, to the place they are now.

Their journey is hard, sometimes painful, in more ways than one, but their love is absolute. To understand this story, you must read the others. You are doing yourself a big disservice if you do not. As stated in the blurb, Jesse’ mom passes away and leaves his family barely going thru the motions. Jess feels it’s his place to stay with his Dad and sister, a while longer, and help with things around the house. Jess really needs the stability for himself, to be close with his Dad, and Will senses that and supports him. Jesse’ mom held the house and the family together for many years, so missing her presence, and take charge attitude, has left them flailing in the wind. They feel their anchor to life is suddenly gone. Now, they must figure out how to go on without her in their lives. Who takes on the responsibilities she once carried? How will Jesse’ Dad handle these changes?

Jesse works in the Library, as we know, and he has been taking classes to further his education in teaching. He loves his job, makes him feel as though he is adding to the relationship by working, but he takes a leave of absence to be with his Dad. He’s having a hard time accepting his mother’s choice to not tell them she was sick. He needs some time to understand a few things in his life, with Will, and what it all means now. While they are staying at his childhood home, he and Will have to put a hold on their sexual relationship. Not only their sex life but also their Master/sub relationship has taken a backseat due to no privacy. Jesse needs that desperately, it grounds him, gives him clarity, so he is struggling with finding a calm center.

Will really steps up and does everything he can to help Jesse thru this hardship. He offers a lot of support and understanding. He begins to realize that Jesse is struggling, more so than ever, not having their regular sessions. He can be there for him as his partner, but to be his Master, they need a place of their own, without interruptions. Will takes it on his own to find a safe place for the two of them, a place they can be themselves and still be together like they need. Will still needs to work so he goes back thru the week and comes home to Jesse on the weekends. That puts a strain on the relationship, as well, and it isn’t long before some cracks start to show. The green-eyed monster makes an appearance, possibly jeopardizing their established trust.

Anna Martin has stated that she never intended to write a third book in the Another Way series. However, not only the readers were asking for more but also so were Jesse and Will. This book is more laid back than the first two, kind of like tying up some loose ends. The BDSM is not in the forefront of the story, although they still need that desperately. That is a part of them, a very important part that keeps them both stable. They have been together for quite a while now, several years, so they are very established and connected by love, their commitments, and their responsibilities to each other. I thought the author done an incredible job showing them as not only an established couple, but also a couple who still had doubts and insecurities to get thru. The characters were stronger than ever in this novel and we get to see how much they have grown and matured in the years that have been together. Ms. Martin keeps us on our toes, however, by introducing a couple new characters that could have easily upset their balance.

These new characters, however, just emphasized how much their life together is the most important part of them. I love that the author took Jesse, Will thru many obstacles, sometimes, to second guess themselves, only to bring them back to each other, and be stronger for it. Not only do they find their balance, they continue to thrive in their sex life, giving and receiving, and the Master/sub component is stronger than ever. Anna Martin has given us a well told story where you will find yourself glued to the pages, often smiling from ear to ear, sometimes holding your breath in anticipation. She also gives us an ending, one that you must read for yourself, that will delight you and have you throwing your arm up with a…..Hell, Yeah!!!!, Even as I’m writing this I am smiling because I know what it in store for their future. It is a very promising future for Will and Jess.

Blurb: Wig Tobias and Nibs Tyler have been together for a long while, but this year their love is about to be tested. Their business, the Blue Lagoon Restaurant on the Isle of Wight, is vandalized, and it may or may not be a coincidence that the neighbors want to buy them out. Making matters stickier, the police don’t seem interested in investigating until a friend of the couple, an out of town copper, prods them to take action.

Their friends, Paul and Olaf, Liam and Sam, and the whole Owens family come to help Wig and Nibs in their time of need. But Paul and Olaf may need a nudge from Wig and Nibs to keep their relationship alive. Meanwhile, a dear friend falls gravely ill. And if that’s not enough, Nibs has been hiding his own medical problems from Wig. When a gale strikes the Isle of Wight, the Blue Lagoon and its owners could be facing the end—unless they and their friends can unravel the knot of misfortune one hitch at a time.

Review: Toby Tobias (Wig) and Justin Tyler (Nibs) have been an established couple for nearly a decade. They run the Blue Lagoon restaurant and they have each other, and that has been enough, until now. An overzealous neighbour slash businessman is trying to pressure them into selling the restaurant property, and he isn’t above some dirty underhanded tactics to get what he wants.

After hosting Sam and Liam’s wedding reception, Wig and Nibs return home to find the restaurant has been vandalized. They start to wonder if it’s really worth it anymore. The time and effort to keep their business afloat, and the strain of it taking all their time away from each other. The Owens clan bans together to help Wig and Nibs clean up and keep the restaurant going. But the long time lovers are beginning to grow wary of it all, and they might just be ready to throw in the towel.

In the middle of all this, someone very close to Wig, Nibs and the Owens falls ill. Nibs is hiding the fact that he has been diagnosed with diabetes, and Paul is starting to break under the pressure of loving a man who is still in the closet. Wig and Nibs have to decide if they even want to stay and fight for the restaurant that they’ve poured their heart and soul into these past ten years. Or cut and run. The only thing they are certain of is that no matter what they decide to do, they will do it together.

There was a lot going on in this book, so much so, that the story seemed weighted down. I also didn’t feel as strong a connection to these two characters as I did with Sam and Liam, Paul and Olaf. That being said, I quite liked the way everyone banned together when their friends were in need. Whether it was Wig and Nibs and the trouble at the restaurant. Paul and Olaf and the issues with being oceans apart and Paul’s upset with Olaf refusing to come out of the closet. And my favourites, dear Liam and Sam. Liam is still recuperating from the accident that almost killed him and Sam is being a mother hen.

So while a few things were off within the storyline, a lot of things were on. There was some drama and a bit of angst, tears both happy and sad, and some hot bear loving his cub man sex on the couch! This is still a must read series in my opinion.

Blurb: It takes a pissed-off Brahma bull named Shockwave to show rodeo pickup man Marty Fairgrave the cold hard truth about champion bull rider Tripp Colby: Tripp will never leave the safety of his closet or acknowledge Marty in public. Sometimes loving someone just isn’t enough, and after a year of hiding what they are, Marty finally sees the light—and it’s no longer shining on Tripp.

Tripp Colby would do anything for Marty. Well . . . almost. He’s never loved anyone before, and isn’t quite sure how to handle it now. But he knows Marty is his everything, and in order to win him back, Tripp will have to overcome his darkest fears and step into the light.

But no matter Tripp’s intentions, the cost might be too high and the effort too late for these two cowboys to ride off into the sunset

Review: Marty is injured in a rodeo, mainly risking his life to safe his lover Tripp. It’s an eye-opener since Tripp ignores the fact at the rodeo that Marty was seriously injured.

Tripp is so far in the closet and Marty is out and proud. Tripp wants to continue seeing Marty in secret as they have been for nearly a year. Marty doesn’t want to continue to be only Tripp’s dirty little secret. He wants to spend time with him openly and not just in the bed.
This is a fabulous story of two cowboys living two different lives. There is a lot of drama, angst, friendship, action and hot sexy man-love. I couldn’t stop reading once I began and I can’t wait to see whose story is next. I had one small problem with the story and that was I kept feeling as if I read the names Tripp, Marty, and Shockwave before though this. Having said that, I still had a perfect understanding of the story

If you like, rodeo cowboys, actions, angst, drama, sexy characters, realistic settings and some hot mansex this is for you!

Blurb: Sebastian Morales is smart, gorgeous and has just turned 30. He is also one of the youngest Priests to be assigned to the sleepy little town of Morris Colorado, nestled just below the majestic Rocky Mountains.

Born in a remote village in Spain, Father Morales’ life had been perfectly scripted as he obtained his dreams. Now in America, he is at task with revitalizing an aging congregation. The job seems easy until he meets Ian Stephens. Ian is troubled, good-looking, openly gay and trapped between his own dreams and the responsibility he feels for the care of his aging mother.

Escorting his mother to Sunday Mass one morning, Ian and Father Morales’ life intersect, changing both forever. Ian believes he has seen something in the Father’s eyes that morning, a spark, an intuition, or was he just fantasizing about the seductively alluring priest.

Ian is willing to risk it all in order to find the answer, in turn feeding his own sexual desires and causing boundaries to be questioned by everyone.

After an unforeseen yet unforgettable kiss between the two men, will an Ancient House of Cards be toppled when they are faced with confronting the moral dilemma that neither of them can escape?

Review: Where to begin? I really enjoyed this book, and even though it may not matter to most people, and pen names mask gender, I truly feel the masculine perspective when reading this story. Ancient House of Cards isn’t really a romance in the bodice ripper/tight pants tradition, though there are sensual scenes and chemistry between the characters. This story is familiar to anyone who lived with abuse, whether as a child or as an adult trying to handle their own psychological problems. This story is about trying to break the cycles of abuse, and how very difficult that really is.

Ian may have vowed to himself never to be the abusive man his father was, or to put up with abuse for so long like his mother had, but even when we take positive steps to change the obvious cycles of abuse, we can easily overlook the more subtle effects of abuse. Like Ian setting himself up to fail, going back to a partner who abuses his trust repeatedly. Only to repeat those behaviors himself when he develops a new relationship with Sebastian Morales. There are so many layers to abuse, so many long-term effects, that seeing Ian face them, and get help is so real, so hard, and so great.

The drama here is heart wrenching, and so very honest. Though Ian has finally left his unhealthy relationship with his cheating ex, and built a new home and plans a new direction for his life and his career, it seems he can’t help but make bad mistakes just as life is moving forward. Two steps forward one step back they say.

Ian isn’t the only one in an unhealthy state of mind here. Father Sebastian Morales is hiding from many truths in his own heart. He’s conflicted for sure by his attraction to Ian, disagrees with many tenants of his faith, yet still feels the calling to be part of the church. He denies such a big part of himself that when it finally erupts he’s sick with dread, physically and mentally distraught with coming to terms with what it means to be a gay man and his commitment as a priest in the Catholic Church. He begins to lie, to others, to himself, and as any reader can predict it all comes crumbling down on him.

I won’t give away the big game changer, but this story is an extremely important one. The moral of the story, for me anyhow, is that you first must be happy and healthy with yourself before you can be happy with another person. You cannot count on another person for your own happiness.

I also like the way Bryan ended this story, one can imagine many different outcomes for themselves.

Blurb: A young American falls in love with Paris, and a stunning Frenchman, but murder and mayhem, let alone distance, might ruin his chance of lasting happiness.

After seeing the movie Midnight in Paris, Jay Harrison becomes obsessed with the idea of a vacation in the City of Light. Jay has always been a bit of a dreamer and while he doesn’t think he will actually have the same bizarre experiences the main character in the movie had, he is certain that Paris holds something very special for him.

Jay is a shy man and a bit of a lightweight in the sexual experience arena, so he’s nervously surprised when Anton Delcour, a handsome Frenchman, introduces himself at the Café Les Deux Magots on his first day in Paris. He’s even more surprised by his own eagerness to know more about Anton—a lot more. When Anton offers to give him a personal tour of Notre Dame Cathedral, he jumps at the chance to perhaps get better acquainted with Anton.

The two men bond quickly through their mutual attraction and Jay’s visit to Paris takes on a new dimension when he’s in Anton’s company. But when a case of blackmail and murder threatens to get in the way of his budding summer romance, Jay begins to think that the movie he loved might just pale in comparison to what is actually going on around him.

Review: This lovely romance abroad feels very much like J.P. Bowies’ Portrait series of books. The Paris Connection involves travel to exotic locales, lovely descriptions of the local attractions, of course a hot and steamy romance and a light mystery.

I enjoyed the lighthearted romance that develops between Jay and Anton as soon as Jay settles in Paris. It’s fun to imagine the insider view of Paris not to mention the hot nights between the sheets with an attractive Frenchman. An instant attraction leads to a quickly growing friendship and my strong desire to see these two work out a future together any way they can!

The mystery component of the story was a little mild, it drifts in and out of the plot a bit, but the story is a very enjoyable journey to very romantic fantasy, finding love while travelling to a place you have only dreamt of.

The writing is smooth, the descriptions of Paris are enchanting, and the romance is heady. A good read for fun and relaxation.

Blurb: Eight years ago, Luke Retter witnessed the brutal murder of his mother and sister at the hands of his demon-possessed father. He survived but lost a hand and an eye. The demon also burned its emblem into his skin, marking him as a cursed. Those who bear this mark are at risk of becoming possessed themselves, so they are monitored and enslaved by the state-run UCIS. Working as a slave is hard, but Luke prefers it to the possibility of being controlled by the demon.
One night, Luke wakes to find his worst nightmare coming true. His father’s demon has returned. In a panic, he runs to the only person who might be able to help: Zack, a cursed who ran away from the state and created an underground community to protect other fugitive curseds. Zack helps him suppress the demon. But the city’s become a time bomb, and Luke’s demon itches to escape.
With the UCIS closing in on Zack’s underground operation and Luke’s demon crafting its own, nefarious plot, Luke realizes that he must take a stand.

Review: Sixteen-year-old Luke Retter’s life was changed forever eight years prior as he witnessed his father, possessed by a demon, brutally murder his mother and sister before his eyes. He didn’t escape unscathed. His father horribly disfigured him for life. Labeled as a cursed by the mark of a tattoo left by the demon on him, Luke is now a slave by orders of the UCIS via the Assembly.

One day after picking up more supplies as per his boss’ orders, Luke witnesses several guys picking on a much smaller cursed. He intervenes to stop the bullies and gets beat up pretty bad. He wakes in a place he has never seen before and meets Zack, another cursed and learns he’s a deviant who ran away from the system and helps other cursed in the same situation as him, by trying to keeping them safe and out of harm’s way. Luke hears the demon taunting him as it tries to take him over. Not knowing what to do and scared, he runs to the one person who could possibly help him keep the demon at bay, Zack.

This was an amazing book to read. Some of the scenes were horrifying in their nature. Wonderfully written and detailed. Gruesome scenes, as well as drama, mystery, action and suspense. The struggle that Luke goes through on a daily basis broke my heart. I understood the way he felt about himself, on a personal level. I’m glad he finally found some happiness in an unforgiving world. Anyone who likes this type of book should definitely read it.

Unfortunately, Isaac is already in a marriage of convenience to his best friend Debra. Isaac wants Jayden, but Jayden does not intend to date any of his superiors. On top of that is the lie that Isaac has been living.

It’s a rough, long road ahead for Isaac and Jayden. Nice story line and good solid writing. I enjoyed watching this plot unfold. The ending was kinda predictable, but sweet.  I’m just glad they got their HEA.
