Review: Tom is going with his boyfriend, Steve, on a vacation. He finds it is a Dude Ranch and complains all the way there not wanting to go. Steve thinks it will add spice and help them repair their damaged and dull relationship.

Rex finds himself attracted to Tom and doesn’t like Steve at all. Rex isn’t into casual relationships or cheating, but he just can’t keep his mind off of Tom.

The Dude Ranch is a very short and sweet romance. I absolutely loved it. The characters are all very well done for such a short story, the description of the ranch is fabulous, the story complete and the sex hot. What more could you want besides more?!!

If you like fast-paced short stories, hot cowboys, Dude Ranches, and hot mansex this is for you.

Review: What the heck?? A Safe Place, the fourth book in the Romeo and Julian series, by Sage Marlowe, reveals many answers to our long-awaited questions. However, there are still some shocking twists that will surprise you, but some that will have you smiling from ear to ear. As we have come to expect from this author, this story picks up where the last one left off with a smooth transition.

Romeo has been away on assignment for a couple of months and he finally returns home. Julian is overwhelmed with emotions to see his lover return home. Needless to say, they head straight to the bedroom, where they indulge in heated, passionate sex. With Romeo being gone for two months, Julian can’t seem to get enough of him. Before he can think rationally, Julian throws a surprise question to Romeo as they lay in each other’s arms. Romeo’s reply…not necessarily what he was wanting to hear.

As we should have expected, Romeo is back but not to visit. He needs Julian to help him on a case, in France, by recovering a valuable necklace. Once there and the plan comes into action, Romeo and Julian find more than they bargained for. As someone tries to run them over causing Romeo to get hurt, more surprises from his past come forward. Since he won’t go to the hospital for his injuries, he has Julian take him to a place he refers to as his safe place. More and more clues reveal themselves and we finally begin to understand more about Romeo and his past.

If you will remember, Romeo’s parents were killed in a car crash several years earlier. As it turns out, some old acquaintance from his parent’s affiliates are out to get Romeo, and any leads he may have to a treasure that involved his parents. As Romeo recuperates from his gunshot wound, he starts to set the record straight with Julian. Finally, after all this time, he starts to tell him everything. I was quite surprised to learn how far back in time Romeo started stalking Julian. His initial plan was to use him and his connections with the FBI. Of course, now, we know that is not what happened entirely. What we find out is, his plan and how it played out, is very intricate. How will Julian feel now that he has several answers to his questions? Will he want to stay with Romeo or does he feel like a pawn in his game? One thing is for sure, you will read the last several pages with your mouth hanging open in shock, maybe even taken in by complete surprise. But more than that, you definitely will have huge admiration for Sage Marlowe and his clever and genius mind.

The revelations that have come out in this installment, have completely taken me by shock. I thought for a while, I knew what was going to happen. I was very mistaken. Sage Marlowe has given us a story with so many twists and turns, I feel a little carsick. Some of the things Julian figures out on his own. What he doesn’t figure out, Romeo fills in the blanks. I love reading a story where the prose is tight and clean as this, and be completely blindsided by the turn of events. I have always admired and respected Sage Marlowe as a person and an author. What he has done with this series shows what an incredible and masterful storyteller he really is. We close out this story with a few things left up in the air. Now that Julian knows everything, and I have my suspicions that there will be more surprises, where will he go from here? And more importantly, where will Romeo go? Will they go together is the big question.

I know the next book is due to release this fall, and I will definitely be waiting to grab it to find out what happens next. Ladies and gentleman – you want a page-turner with mystery and suspense, sexy and thrilling love scenes, a plot that will keep you invested from start to finish? You get that and more, this is a must read series. Get yours now so you will be ready for #5.

Review: A dramatic story about love, loss, tragedy and family.

Ben Walsh is a successful attorney living his perfect life in New York, until a phone call just days before Christmas brings his world crashing down around him. Ben rushes home to Austin Texas to attend his parent’s funeral, and decide what is to become of his three young brothers. An absentee sibling at best, Ben knows little of his brothers, much less the commitment involved in raising three boys. In the days after the funeral leading up to Christmas and the reading of their parents will; Ben uncovers the reasons why his brother’s resent him, and their fear of being separated and taken away from the only home they’ve ever known.

Travis Atwood is Ben’s late parents’ neighbor, as well as an important part of his three young brother’s lives. The redheaded, redneck whose emotions read like an open book quickly forms a friendship with Ben. A friendship that slowly smolders into something more. As Travis helps Ben care for and rebuild his relationship with his brother’s, he starts to look at Ben in a different way. Ben has been attracted to Travis from the start, but Travis is straight, right?

This book has a lot of relationship and character development that is well written with realism, likeable characters and witty dialogue. The tension in the words as Ben struggled with the decision about the future for himself, his brother’s and where they were going to live. The character of Ben grows tremendously throughout this story; from cocky and successful lawyer to unsure and completely clueless new father as he takes on the responsibility of raising three teenage boys. He makes a lot of mistakes along the way, but he learns and grows from them, and it only makes his character that much more relatable. And the brother’s are written as typical teenage boys with typical teenage problems.
Whether it was the safe sex talk with the oldest, Quentin; helping middle brother Jason with the ups and downs of life as a gay teenager; or the quirky conversations with the athletic Cade, the story flowed steadily from start to finish. But the relationship between Ben and Travis was so well written and conveyed, it takes the story to an entirely different level. When they are making their lists of five reasons why they shouldn’t be together, and they both have almost the exact same concerns. Travis’s nickname for Ben, Obi Wan. And probably the best scene in any book I’ve ever read, The Earth is flat. It’s the combination of all these things rolled into a very well written story that make this book a must read.
Narrated by Charlie David and I couldn’t imagine anyone doing a better job. He put a voice to Travis that added an entirely new element to the character than I initially saw by just reading the book. David’s voice is always crisp and precise, nailing the subtle nuances and changes in tones for different characters.

A couple of warnings must be handed down along with this review. Once Ben and Travis go from trying to keep their hands off each other to not being able to keep their hands off each other, they have some sexy romps between the sheets! When you come to Quentin’s Thanksgiving speech, be sure you have ample Kleenex at the ready, there will be tears.

Blurb: “Is there a voyeur inside you? Or are you the one who would like an audience in the bedroom?”

Cory can’t keep a job. Flynn has a job he can no longer hide behind. A simple proposition in an effort to solve both of their problems leads two young men to confront the heartbreaks of their pasts in order to make a future together.

What starts as an innocent bit of voyeurism turns into a public display of… everything.

Review: Cory is an American living in London under dual citizenship these last seven years. He blows through job after job, not because he’s stupid or lazy, because he’s a klutz. In between jobs and places to stay, Cory visits his friend Tammie at the local pub and runs into another American, Flynn, who makes Cory and offer that seems too good to be true.

Flynn has been in London for four years and is thriving in the anonymity life there is providing him. He owns several small online businesses, one of which is a website for voyeurs. He’s been watching Cory for a while now, unable to get up the courage to speak to the tall gorgeous man. But it would now seem that he and Cory can help each other out professionally, so to speak, so he approaches him.

Cory needs the money Flynn is offering in a bad way. And what harm could come from being stowed safely away in a hotel room, jacking off by the open window in the moonlight, Cory’s face completely hidden from anyone that might be watching. So Cory takes on the online persona of Flynn, but soon, so much time spent in closed quarters only strengthens the mutual attraction. It’s while Flynn is trying to set up the next online session that Cory takes a chance and steals a kiss. Sparks ignite and the passion is plentiful when these two finally succumb to attraction they’ve both been trying to ignore.

I just loved this story. A romance at heart where the two most unlikely men with similar pasts and desires wind up together through a happy circumstance. From start to finish, their romance grows stronger, deeper and they get to know more and more about each other along the way. I loved how Cory is older and a little wiser in ways of the world and being an open and out gay man. But Flynn still teaches him things. Patience, love, understanding and acceptance. And Cory helps Flynn be open and honest about his sexuality. They really are the perfect couple. And the sex, holy, just wow, fantastic!

This is a must read for all my fellow hopeless romantics that like a solid storyline to mix with the passion and angst. This one will stay on my kindle for a long time to come, so I can re-visit whenever and wherever I am!

Blurb: Dear Author,

Even with the repeal of DADT, it is not commonly known that I am gay. Living on an aircraft carrier, surrounded by so many men in such close quarters, I worry that if my sexuality is known, most of them will subscribe to the narrow thinking that I am attracted to all of them. But there is one who has caught my eye and driven my senses into overload. The problem is that he is a fellow pilot. I don’t want to cause any issues in our working environment, and I don’t even know if he is gay, but I am drawn to him and cannot stop thinking about him. What I wouldn’t give for a stolen night together, but I long for even more than that because I am attracted to his personality, sense of humor and strength of character as much as I am attracted to his physicality.

And then one day, his co-pilot gets sick, and I am told to fly with him. Will this time together possibly lead to something? I can’t help but hope that it does.

Review: This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group’s event. Group members were asked to write a story prompt inspired by a photo of their choice. Authors of the group selected a photo, prompt that spoke to them, and wrote a short story. The prompt came with a little wish list. The submitter wanted a story with angst, would like the picture of the sunset in it and at least an HFN or even a HEA ending.

They couldn’t have found a better author to do this story. T.A. has a way with angst yet deals with it with a sense of humor, class, and style. This story is beautiful.

I loved all the characters, the camaraderie of the men, the way they let their feelings grow and the hot sensual sex that followed. The story is perfect and you can’t beat that free!

Warning: be prepared to finish once you start, you won’t want to put it down!

If you like pilots, navy men, military men, airplanes, sunsets, Angsty yet sweet romance, and some hot mansex, this is for you. And it’s FREE!

Morticia Knight - Secret Fire _800

Secret Fire

(Uniform Encounters 05)

by

Morticia Knight

Police officer Zach and Fire Marshal Daryl would be perfect together—if they would ever quit fighting long enough to find out. A devastating fire and the secret behind it almost keeps them from getting what they really need—each other.

Mesa police officer Zach is a fun-loving guy. Now that he’s hit the big three-oh, he’s looking to stop the hook-up train and find someone he can get serious about. When a mutual friend suggests Fire Marshal Daryl, Zach assumes he must be joking. The surly marshal has given cranky a new meaning. It’s unfortunate, though, since he is one fine-looking man.

Daryl has sworn off relationships ever since he caught his ex-partner cheating. He’s always taken everything in life seriously—from jobs to relationships—and is afraid he might be alone in that regard. Certain he can’t risk love again, he panics when he sees his secret crush Zach approaching him at a police versus firemen softball game. He’s nervous, as he is socially challenged with a tendency to blurt out the wrong things. It gets worse when he realises their shared buddy gave Zach a push. He assumes that Zach is only talking to him out of pity.

Zach has been pissed off at Daryl ever since they got into a verbal sparring match at the park. Yet, when Daryl comes to his aid during an explosive fire, Zach wonders what secrets might be hidden beneath the layers Daryl has built to protect himself from the world—and love. A night of passion turns into the possibility of something more as they struggle to find their way to one another. But all of that is threatened when there is a devastating fire that causes many people to lose their lives. As they work together to uncover the truth, someone thinks they’ve asked too many questions—and plans to stop them before they can ask any more.
